TrooperVenger Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Got my armour 'finished' and took some pics, but where do I post them to be viewed for submission? Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 501st clearance photos go to your local garrison, specifically the GML. Quote
pandatrooper[TK] Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Read the info and follow the steps here http://www.501st.com/members/join_how.php Quote
TrooperVenger Posted April 3, 2011 Author Report Posted April 3, 2011 Ah ok. Cheers. Will get on to that ASAP. Here's just one of the pic I had taken today. Will post more once everything is cleared. Quote
SolderMaster Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 For future reference: Take ALL submission photos outside in daylight. It is much easier for your GML to see everything needed. Quote
Darth Voorhees[501st] Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Im my garrisons GML, and your suit looks pretty good to me! I dont personally require pics be taken outside, but a well daylight lit room is the best..or one with those daylight florescent bulbs. That pic looks perfectly fine lighting wise to me though. This is for 501st clearance, not EIB or Centurion where closer inspection of the details may be necessary But every GML will be a little different. Looks good though, i bet you get cleared no problem! Edited April 4, 2011 by Darth Voorhees Quote
SolderMaster Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Yup, Lou is right. Your armor looks sweet! I was just sayin... Quote
TrooperTim Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 Looking good! I've always viewed the UKG as having an extremely detailed approval process. Is the black dot on your sniper plate from the hole in the pop rivet? Not a big deal really, I just noticed it. Quote
TrooperVenger Posted April 4, 2011 Author Report Posted April 4, 2011 Thanks for the replies/feedback. I hope the UK GLM doesn't require the photos to be taken outside as that'll delay the process by another week. The hole on the sniperplate is indeed a pop rivet. I could paint that white if required. I have tried to get it to EIB standards, but I'm not going for that right away, but I did try to get it as close as I could. I have the 3 rivets on the left side and 1 on the right of my torso and I cut the buttplate. I have metal clips on the TD also. With a little tweeking here and there I could probably get it to EIB standards. Or at least I hope I could. Quote
