Hi guys, got a couple of minor questions to get cleared up before i start my TK Commander build.

 

1. What different paints have people tried for the Blue? And also should it be Matt or Gloss?

2. Where would be a good place to start looking for the trim to go round the armour?

Rustoleum Ocean Blue is an accurate shade of blue for the TKC. Not sure if that brand is available in the UK though. Check out the images posted at the bottom of the ----- and view some of the -----

 

You can go with a gloss if you want to keep a mostly clean look, or go matte if you want to weather your armor.

 

As far as the rotj trim, ----- with great results.

WRT to boots at least...

 

FYI I talked to two different TKC's while here at C5. Neither used paint on their boots - they both used tape - yup! blue electrical tape. It was a great match and looked fantastic.

I used humbrol no.15 midnight blue on mine. I painted onto my boots too

i use insulation tape on my boots works a treat
