Sonnenschein Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Hello there, I'm a little confused about the correct size of the pipe. on BBC, there are templated for 1 1/4" (32 mm) and 1.5 "( 38mm) where doopydoo's states you need the "correct" 40mm waste pipe. What's correct now? What's the diameter of a real sterling anyway? Thanks, Karin Quote
Dmian Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 The Sterling diameter is 38mm, if I remember correctly. The best you can get is 40mm (at least in Europe). Cheers! Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 (edited) when I compare my sterling resin copy to PVC pipe I see that schedule 40 is just a little smaller than that. I've seen plans for the sterling listed as 38.4mm if you crinkle coated with primer. on schedule 40 pvc pipe, you'd probably be close enough! Edited March 17, 2010 by TK Bondservnt 2392 Quote
