  1. A box of bits. The first armor pieces trimmed. but only the first of many. bibs and bobs. My messy work bench with my favorite armor making tools. The Scroll saw and bench sander. Thats all for now, though I have done much more work. Will go out and take some more photos soon. Hope you have enjoyed.
  2. Well the USB card reader arrived and now as promised here are some pics of my Stuff. the bare bones. test fit. Cut out and re-assembled. Decals applied. Frown painted and temp aerators attached. I have since installed the lenses and tube stripes. Also I have painted the tears in with grey paint, as this is going to be a sandy bucket for display and I already have my RT Mod TK helmet. All that needs doing now is have a head liner installed so it is troop-able. But seeing as this is mainly for display, I'm in no hurry.
  3. Helmet is finsihed (besides inner lining and dirty weathering) and looks quite good next to my RT mod TK bucket. As I already have the afore mentioned RT mod helmet, I have decided to turn the AP into a TD bucket to add to my collection of Imperial helmets. Happy to report that it is not my camera that is faulty as I am able to hook it up to the TV and look at my pics, but the USB lead for the computer still wont work. I have managed to locate a new USB lead for my camera but have to wait till at least wednesday before i can pick it up.
  4. Dude, Im dieing here, the camera has the pics all loaded, but I can't get them on to my computer because the Damn USB lead has decided to call it quits. As soon as I am able they will be here for all to see.
  5. Well I finally got around to taking photos yesterday, and actually got my helmet all together and painted as well, but the damn Camera USB lead has a problem and I can't get the photo's off my Camera Grrr. The only things left to do on my helmet now is to mount the harness inside, fans and affix the tube stripes labels. Speaking of which are there any measurements for exactly where the tube stiripes should be applied? They seem a bit long for where they look in the photos. Advice would be appreciated.

    Stop motion?

Look buddy, use Google. It has all the answers to these types of questions.
  7. I like a lot of different styles of music and can't say I hate much, besides Hip Hop and RnB (I just don't get it) but the bands/styles I like most are listed below You Am I The Living End Midnight Oil U2 Jedediah John Williams Powderfinger Nirvana Foo Fighters Dead Kennedys TISM Men at Work No Doubt Frank Bennet Richard Cheese Jazz Blues
  8. I have seen nothing here that justifies anyone spending $150 on a bunch of photo's, hi res or not. It's just not worthy and you are a greedy person to think that you are justified. Go on believing in your self importance. Sure you can charge what you like, but don't expect everyone to bow at your feet and tell you how great you are and how grateful we are to you.
  9. Your waiting.... Damn postman is out playing with my stuff again I'm sure
  10. What the hell are you talking about mate?
  11. Welcome to the FISD Kraig

  12. Yep they way you have that wired is when you switch the switch ON, you are putting a dead short across the battery. Electricity follows the path of least resistance, so when you close/turn on the switch, the electricity no longer needs to go through the fan to complete the circuit, when you open/turn off the switch, that path of least resistance is no longer open to the flow of the volts and it goes through the fan, as the fan is now the path of least resistance. Follow 4205 drawing and you will be fine.
  13. same, sounds like you have a short circuit situation in the off position, but I would need to see how you have them wired up to know for sure.
  14. Love that idea for the strap system. Will defiantly be going that route.
  15. Trim Trim Trim is my only recommendation. He looks like he has board shorts on so you need to shorten the leg pieces' and cut a heap out of the back. Shoulder bells need to be reduced in overall size. Chest needs narrowing some how, maybe just by shaving the sides down evenly abit. Ab plate can have some cut off the top. It will be under the chest armour any way. Look this might sound cruel, but is not intended that way. There was some pretty cool kids Armour getting around that i have seen on the forums. Maybe some pieces of that would be better suited to this Trooper. either that or get him addicted to McDonald's and growth hormones and then out to the Gym. Check out the recent Legoland in Germany pics posted by Schaf. I saw some TK kids armour in one of the photos there. I may be wrong but I think RA do the kids armour. Junior Trooper Armour
  16. No worries mate. I have been a little distracted, trying to find a new job, the last couple of days. Will post the work shop pics soon.
  17. Try this place Sticker robot. They did the MEPD stickers and are a pretty cool sight to work with. Troy TAG Merch officer
  18. Just got word from AP armour. My Suit is being shipped out this week, so I have decided to start my Armour update thread now. Tomorrow I will post pictures of my Workshop. The place where I will transform bumpy sheets of plastic in to a finely crafted suit of blaster proof armour. When my Armour arrives, week by week, bit by bit I will keep a journal of my progress. Fee free to chime in and offer advice and critisims. Cheers, DesTROYer "Cause you can't Destroy with out Troy"
  19. Check with your local Garrison. They are who are most likely to run one in your area. They are great fun. You sometimes get a little work done, but really they turn out just to be a good excuse to get together out of Armour and have a few drinks.
  20. Hi everyone, I haven't got any picture on how I did it, so I will have to get descriptive with words. On the one Hovimix I have done on my Scout Helmet, I drilled one hole through the center of the back of the Hovimix for the bolt and one smaller hole, off center and out of the way of the bolt head for the speaker wires. Put the bolt through the hole on the hovimix and its corresponding location on your helmet. Do up the bolt and nut tight so it does not come loose. drill the wire hole through the helmet too so you can now pass the wires for the speaker through the hovimix and into the helmet. That's the easy part. Once you have both Hovimix/speakers installed you will now be ready to solder the wires together. Take one red wire from one speaker and one black wire from the other speaker, bring them together and cut them so they over lap about 15mm. Slide some small heat shrink over one of the wire ends so it is out of the way for the time being. Strip off the ends of the two wires you have just cut, back about 10mm. Twist each wire a little so the strands are neat. With your soldering iron heat up the end of the wire and touch the solder on to the wire so it places a small amount of solder over the whole surface of the exposed wire. This is called "tinning the wire". When both wire ends are done, again heat up one wire end and touch the other wire onto it overlapping so it becomes one long wire. Take away the heat, but keep the two wire ends together so they can cool whilst touching and after about 5 seconds, give them a little tug to make sure they are firm. When it has cooled some more, slide the heat shrink over the join and shrink it down with a lighter so it seals the join. Now take the other two ends of the wires. Depending on what type of voice amp you are using, you will either need to solder a speaker plug onto the ends or solder them straight onto the sound card. either way, i recommend sliding some heat shrink over both wires first to keep them together and looking neat. If they are to short to get where you need them, you can extend them the same way as above. If you need to solder a speaker plug on to your wires, as above, pre-tin your wire ends and when cool place the wires in the holes on the tags on the back of the plug. one they are in place. Heat them up again and place a small amount of solder on each tag. but make sure you do not short out the wires in the plug, or your speakers wont work. The black wire should go to the outside tag and the red wire to the inside tag. Note: if you are using the Triktoys speakers, you will need to join the two yellow wires together to complete the circuit. I will post pictures as I do my helmet in the coming months. Any questions, feel free to PM me or contact me on Microsoft messenger.
  21. Why would you do that when you can get the right pieces in the first place. Drop by the Jolly Rogers Squadren and you will be able to find the right stuff there.
