if it is small amounts of paint, what worked for me awwesome was, applying small amounts of rubbing alcohol on the paint (edges) and lightly rub with a tooth pick, paint peels off nice and neat and u can make good lines. GRANTED i havee only used spraypaint and my helmet is abs..... so use with caution... Scotts idea sounds better, but thats what i did.

Stay away from E-bay, Find an learn all u can about Stormtroopers.... And most importante use the search engine, most of your questions will and have been answered before. you have waited this long to take the plunge....a couple days/weeks of research will fly by. Forgot to mention that i have the straps glued 3/4 of the way up the thigh, before they were really close to the top, and didnt hold them in place. the lower down the thigh the better it keeps it from moveing.

I use the garter belt that tk4205 drew. I had hear that some trooper mention that by useing the ab connection would place more weight and stress there back. about the thighs turning in.... well i think you might have the connection to close to the middle of your ab so they turn inward... that make sence??? You should try to have the connection be atthe same length ( up and down and not hieght) were your femur head insurts to your pelvic bone....???Hope that makes sence??? Might sending a pics of u with the garter belt and your thighs, and if u could use some color pants that contrasts with the straps u use so we could get an idea!! Hope the ramballing helps.

Aboout the amount of space i left...... At first i used one extra abs thingy cut it in half ( down the width) so i had 2 (3x9) or so. I did loose alot of gut while working on the armor.... ( stoped having my afteroon coffee with sweet stuff) so that was a´nuff. then i started eating sweets and coffee again and guess what didnt fit any more... Lost wieght again and fits So i would try to add at least 1 full inch insdie, total of 2 inches, thats alot If u can squeeze more do it, u could always reshape the end part to be curved. Granted if u go that way.. Post pics good luck.

Ya I used 7 before the idea of reshaping hit me........ Know it only pops 1 or 2 snaps if i have to pick up coins,or my keys.....

If i am not mistaken the options are: White plastic ( of your liking that is as close to the color or your armor White material ( leather,vynil(Sp??) or elastic But as long as it looks "Sharp" like Scott likes to say. I used The abs extra stuff that can with the armor, i glued it to the abd plate and left it free on the back, the belt keeps it in place and since it is not conected in the back it hides inside the kidney plate and moves around if i bend or move side ways... the key if to give it move space then you need so it is inside the kidney plate and wount pop out .... Learn that the hard way sorry no pics..... actually no camera. But i could draw it if it made no sence.
