  2. Great initiative and proud to have gained the rank of Centurion and join the 500. A big thanks to all those that have helped along the way and a preemptive congratulations to the next thirteen who will also join the 500:)
  3. Thank you very much. I am really stoked to have achieved this and also made my goal of getting into the Centurion 500. A big thanks to @TKSpartan for going through my application. Also a big thanks to @gmrhodes13 for his advice and feedback in both my Centurion and Expert Infantry applications. Also a big shout out to all the supportive members from Outpost 42 in New Zealand.
  4. I have added Velcro strips and it has made a big difference to the sagging in the middle and holds it in the position as shown in the top picture below. The bottom picture shows the Velcro strips on the abdomen armour and the belt.
  5. I am at work now but will get on to that when I get home. There are a couple of snaps but they from the photo’s they are keeping the belt too low so will bring it up higher with the Velcro strips as suggested.
  6. Hi, Thanks for the quick response. I have added two pictures below to show the changed position of the Han Snap. I have also added a picture from each side of the Sniper Knee to show where I sanded out the curve to square it up.
  7. I have completed rivet painting as suggested and it has come up well. Also touched up the ammo belt rivets but it took a couple of coats for both until I was happy. Also I have moved the elastic to the rear of the shoulder straps and glued the belt to hold the belt boxes in position better.
  8. Completed a bit of sanding tonight. I sanded some off each end and the 45 degree angle now meets the top and bottom of the belt a lot better.
  9. Hi, Thanks for the feedback. Always great to have an experienced person give it the once over. The glove and TD was my fault. I was trying to get the outdoor pictures done before it rained and was rushing with my daughter taking them. That picture from the back was actually a retake and I had taken my glove off and did not put it on again properly and must have moved the TD as well. I have been out this morning and got more white paint and will touch up the rivets and any other that need it. I will also move the elastic as mentioned and put some more glue on that belt box to hold it in the correct position. For the belt I will sand more off each end to try and match it up better. Regarding the Sniper plate I am not sure what I can do there. I squared up each side as per the comments from my Expert Infantry submission to take out the curve.I have looked at a number of different Web images and other Centurion applications and some have quite a tall vertical aspect on the Sniper plate exposing the top of the shin like mine has. I would welcome any ideas on what I could do there but I can‘t move the sniper plate because of the ridge it sitting on. Regards Craig
  10. Hi there, Below is my submission for Centurion. I can't believe it has been three months since I applied for Expert Infantry as it has gone so fast. I have gone through all the observation and Centurion requirements notes from my Expert Infantry application and made adjustments and changes as required. I have also added notes where applicable for corrections I have made from Expert Infantry submission and included a link for the previous Expert Infantry submission. Also in both of the traps expanded the paint to fill the available area. Han snap repositioned as per supplied EI application photo Rivets adjusted to fit the measurements supplied in EI application photo. They now sit 20mm from the top, next ones are 52mm down and third ones are 53mm down. All rivets are now 10mm from the edge. Changed rivet positions on Ammo Belt Squared off both sides of the Sniper Plate Increased the curve on both of the TD clips so they sit flush Drop boxes position adjusted so they align with end ammo belt Hand guards replaced New blaster photos to show there is no weathering. Previous ones had a lot of glare and created reflection
  11. Thanks for all the comments on achieving the EIB:) Also thanks TK Spartan on the tip for strengthening the hole patch. Makes a lot of sense to stick a small piece of ABS on the back and double the thickness.
  12. Very humbling to be awarded the EIB, thank you very much. Even more special to be number 992 and part of the 1000:) I am very new to this and am in awe of the quality armour that 501st members are creating. I have to admit my armour is a commision build from RS Props. I am keen to progress to Centurion in the near future and really appreciate the feedback and detail that has been given to assist me with this. I do have a few questions and responses to help me on my way to the next level. The neckseal was laziness on my part not checking it before I got my daughter to take the application pictures In future I will take photo's in more natural light as there was a reflection on the blaster grip from an overhead light. The helmet, belt, sniper plate and thermal detonator are aspects I can start working on. Below are the pictures of my gloves. The ABS plastic handplates are designed to sit over top of the fixed handplates and are held on by straps. Do the fixed handplates on the gloves meet the requirements as descibed for Centurion? They are a touch bumpy in a few areas and would require a sand for a smooth finish if they do fit the requirements. My biggest question is around the the abdomen armour and knee ammo pack. I can see exactly what you mean about the positioning of rivets for both of these. The positioning of where these should go are close to the current positions. As a newbie with this would filling in a hole from a current rivet and drilling a new hole in some cases very close cause any issues with the strength and potential cracking in the future? I have done a little bit of reading about making ABS paste. Because the current holes would be small is it a relatively simple process of putting ABS paste in the holes, allowing it to set then sanding it to a smooth finish? I asssume that that after the holes are filled they would then need to be painted and potentially the whole area to match the colour? Sorry for the barage of questions but I thought I would strike whille the iron is hot and my application is still fresh in the meomory. Again, thank you for the feedback.

  14. Thank you all for the welcoming comments. It's great to be here and given the tick of approval:)
  15. I have taken the screws out and given them a coat of black paint. They came out nice and definitely adds some contrast against the silver tabs.
  16. Hi, Thank you for that. I am currently at work but will get that sorted when I get home. They are black on top but as per the image I definitely see they could use a better coverage on the sides.
  17. Thanks for the feedback. I have included some additional images of the snap (hope it the one you were referring to, still a bit new at all this:) ) I actually got a second pair of gloves and moved the handguards up because I was worried the gaps were too large. I have included pictures with the original gloves and handguard placement and it does look a lot better but would welcome any comments on the gap. That is a good idea regarding foam to push the sniper plate out and reducing the curve is something I could have a look at. I am not sure what I could do about the ammo strip rivets. This was a commision build by RS Props and that is where they put them. I have looked at your image and can see what you mean. I had a bit of look in the galleries in the 501st at the ANH images and it does not look like there are some with the rivet closer to the corner. Would there have been variation from armour to armour?

  19. TK-19024 reporting in from Outpost 42 Garrison in New Zealand. I have always been a big Stars Fan anyways born in the auspicious year of 1977 when ANH come to our screens. I have always been drawn to the Stormtroopers and have recently realised this passion when two BBB‘s arrived from RS Props. A big thank you to my GML, Andrew, who has helped me through the approval process.

  21. Hi, Yes it is a full commission build and sized for me. From memory there was about 22 different measurements required for it so hopefully it will be pretty close and not to many adjustments. I really liked the lineage aspect of RS and was impressed with quality of their work. It comes with blaster and boots from Imperial Boots. I was a bit overawed by the concept of a scratch build but thought it might inspire me in the future to do one of my own seeing how these guys do it.
  22. Hi all, Greetings from New Zealand. I am new to this and have recently joined my local garrison in New Zealand, Outpost 42. I have always been a fan of Star Wars and was born in the auspicious year of 1977 when ANH came out (showing my age). After a lot of research and learning a large number of acronyms I recently purchased ANH Stunt TK commission from RS PropMasters. In the mean time patience until it is finished and shipped to New Zealand and the opening of the big brown box.
