  1. Another 5 hours. Vents are done for now. Want to add some putty to the edges to sharpen them up a bit. But that’s about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sometimes I wonder why I torture myself. Should have left this alone. But here I am. Too late now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The other factor that drew me to this kit was the size. Jimm built it for 5’7”-5’10”. I’m short. Only 5’6”. 850 builds specifically for taller builds. I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and do an auto shop for paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This thread was incredibly informative! It has also made me regret purchasing a fiberglass kit....

    Strapping

Does anyone have photos of their strapping for Jimm's fiberglass kit? I want to mask the areas for the snaps so I can do the flexseal on the inside.

  8. Thanks! The tubes need a decent amount of putty to even them out on the bottom for the blue. But the actual filing went pretty well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I just used a dremel with a small bit and opened all the holes. Then I used diamond files and needle files and just files away. It’s going to need a lot of spot putty to fill air bubbles. But that should be easy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. It has begun!!!! My first cut today! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Ok. I just got mine a few weeks ago. You’ve put this off long enough. Let’s finish our kits! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Update! New bucket arrived from Jimm yesterday! I’ll post pictures later. But it’s perfect. Jimm is a man of his word! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. This actually sounds like a good idea. Similar to using the lexan scissors on the abs. Do you use the coated scissor wiss or the utility shears? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
