My oldest seemed like he recognized my voice even with going through the iComm and speaker.  The youngest screamed when he finally recognized me after taking the helmet off.  Watching him process that was comedy gold.  To this day he still asks me why I transformed into a Stormtrooper.  They got to meet three others in the garrison and hang around a bit before going back out to the event.

Great Trooper!! those moments makes the effort worthwhile.  :th_AnimatedBravoSmiley:

Ok so Velcro.  CRL states “close with greaves” the other parts say Velcro. Just confused. Cheers and thanks Ben

Yes, you're right, It's a little confusing . I'm not a R1 Armor expert but my two cents, "Greave" should be changed to "Shins"

    Lower Leg Armor
    Greaves close in the back.
The trapezoid knee plate (sniper knee plate) is affixed to the left greave and may have two visible brads or rivets securing it to the greave.
Sniper knee plate must be aligned with the ridges on the shin.

Cheers and good luck with your project.

The only good thing that came out of this was I got some practice using a compass to help the ears align with the sides of the helmet. I am just angry with myself

As you said, there's a good thing and it's only a plastic matter. Enjoy building your armor and consider in this project and in life, there'll be always challenges, fails and good things.  Don't look back Trooper, keep on going ahead, you're doing an amazing work.

    Keep it up. :salute:. :Stormtrooper_walk_south:

    Hi all,

I'm Chris from the wilds of Wiltshire, UK.

I've been trooping as a Rebel pilot for a couple of years but have always wanted a TK. I picked up a used Jedi-Robe style TK about a year ago and although i love it, I really but wanted to built my own which was fitted exactly for me.

I've started my build with kit from RWA Creations and so far, so good although I'll definately be checking out all the relevant posts on here

Look forward to making your acquaintances in the future

    Cheers!

Hi Chris, welcome to FISD. Glad you're on the way to becoming an Imperial Stormtrooper.

Mine is an RWA too and I'm so happy with it.

Looking forward to see your building process photos and feel free to ask here all your questions and receive comments and feedback from our very experienced Troopers.

    Good luck. :salute:

    Is the forearm length correct?

Yes, the length is just right. and the bubble lenses looks great to me and just as the crl states:

Lenses may be flat or bubble, green or smoke, sufficiently dark enough to obscure the costumer's eyes

    Hello Everyone

Just wanted to know if there's any specific measurements for the tube stripes?  Apart from the pencil width spacing from the cheek, I can't find anything else.  Are there any exact measurement details regarding:-

The length and height of the stripes across the cheek

    The spacing in-between each stipe

The length and height of each individual stripe

I want to prevent the tube stripes from looking too thick/thin or too close/far apart from each other.  Any info would be great, thanks.

    Hi  C, welcome to FISD.

A-Tube stripes are medium blue, numbering between 9 and 16 per side with the curve bends extending backwards.

B- Ideally, the tube stripes are positioned approximately a pencil width from the side of the cheek

C- They should be roughly 2.5mm to 3mm thick. 9-13 count per cheek

You can apply tube strips decals to the helmet also  (they are acceptable for every level).

Here a couple of reference photos

  9. Hi Thomas, you did an amazing work with your armor. glad to see your Centurion request.

Looking at your EIB submission, you may want to add a close photo of your forearms to see that your have removed the return edges as requested in EIB.

"And lastly, although you did a fantastic job removing them from the inner edges, the "no return edge" requirement includes the area inside the "hump" as well.  4 minutes with a Dremel and you will be good to go! "

Should I trim the abdominal plate to fit better and redo the strapping or does it look ok (and approvable) as is?

I had a case like your some time ago, what I did was to trim the cod and butt  , in the photos you can see that I took my armor and used it as template and the other 2 photos is the result.

hope this can give you and idea of what to do.

  11. Yes Brad!! cool mate you're on the way now   :peace:!  The build process  is terrifying when you open the BBB for the first time and see those million pieces :laugh1: but when you start the process and with a lot of info, videos and of course the FISD troopers, everyone survive (no one left behind ) .

For your Blaster you can take a fast way for approval in basic with a Rubies one and later you can look for a better and expensive one to apply for higher levels (just my opinion B))

    Check this out

Also, having said that I'm 6'1" and 160lbs, so yes I'm tall and slender.  Would a Walt kit be too short for me?  I see that a post here recommends "AM, RT, or TM armor" for tall people, so I'm curious what works for the slender type with minimal frustration.

Hi kyle, you may want to check out the 2 following Pre-Approval post of WTF armors, also you can check other pre-approval applications with other armor makes
