Hello and welcome to the FISD Shaun!

I don't recommend it either. I am not a professional in this area, but I know much about this type of plastic and like Trooper Ukswrath said, any heat and pressure forms a pretty bad dent in a short amount of time.

Girlfirend is T1 pumping. I love this thread. Way to go troopers.

i checked out your build and application. I hope you get it man, its really beautiful. I would not be surprised if you are one of the... first or first few ROTK's requesting that level. I wouldn't worry.

Also in LA trooper! Welcome.

I know there is an entire article on this exact trooper I read it last night. Very thorough. Check out http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-stormtrooper-move-along-helmet.htm
They have handled and photographed the original helmet.

Welcome Ethan!
if that armor is not on the vetted list, it’s probably not worth your time at all.

ROTJ is completely different helmet, its basically a reworked ANH so yes it has one side collapsed per original ANH. My AP helmet is basically a sanitized ANH stunt version which many prefer including me, has all the same asymetries minus all the bumps and surface imperfections to better represent the high tech Star Wars universe when seen in person.

Hey Mark, thanks for the quick reply, I am also wondering if the White is a match to the Prop Masters kit. Also what is the current wait time on a set of your armor? Thats my only reason for looking at the RS kit. The wait...

Well depends on how accurate you want your armor to be. RS is one of the most screen accurate helmets available. But coming along with that are all of the imperfections of the screen used helmets. Plenty of bumps and dimples. Some love it because it’s acurate. Some people don’t like it because it’s accurate and they have a different view of the helmet.
The quality of RS is certainly one of the best available. So basically it comes down to personal preference and what you are going for.
Awesome, kind of what I expected. Two questions then, does the RS have the collapsed face side like ROTJ? Or have they been corrected? Also if I wanted a sterilized sans HdPE bumps kit with similar quality where should I look?

How does it compare to the other buckets out there? Should I get the prop masters kit without the bucket? Is there a better bucket I should get a la carte?

i would love to eventually go for Centurion level quality, so I am thinking strongly about the RS Prop masters base kit. I do have a bit of experience with DIY things alike but i have wanted to ask, what set could i build out for cheaper with similar accuracy and quality?
p.s. - not that im all to interested in purchasing this one, but can someone tell me what the heck is up with this Ainsworth armor is at Shepperton designs...
