  2. Thanks Joseph! Really appreciate the comments and reference pics as a guide. On to the quest for Centurion!
  3. Here’s some updated pics to show the fixes. Let me know if there are any other photos that I should post. Thanks!
  4. Will I need to make these changes for EIB approval? I've fixed the tube stripes already, but still need to do the belt and shoulder bells.
  5. Hey thanks for the good eye and feedback! Ok I'll work on those fixes and hopefully it'll be ready to reach Centurion. Quick question on the tube stripes on the left side...I checked the CRL and it looks like as long as I have 9-16 stripes, I'll meet the Centurion requirements. Just wanted to confirm this before I start removing stripes. Thanks again
  6. Added a close up on the TD screws. Clips and screws from Tony (ukswrath).

  9. Been real busy with life, so progress has been slow. Finally got the helmet together...just need to trim the neck, put the S trim and paint.
  10. OK sounds good, thanks again for the help!
  11. Hey thanks for the good eye and the feedback Daniel! OK I did ask about the back of the shoulder bridges and some folks in my Garrison said to leave it for now. I'll check to see how much I should trim off. On the biceps and thighs, they're already snug, so sounds like I'll need wider cover strips. I originally tried to stick to the recommended widths, but I see what you mean about the large space with the edges. I happened to switch to zap-a-gap for those cover strips, so I'm guessing I'll need to grind them away and make new strips. I did have a question on the rear cover strip on the right thigh. The edge for the cover strip comes at an angle. It was how it ended up after sizing my thighs. Is there a certain way to correct this?
  12. oh ok, hopefully it’s a minor adjustment. I’ll have to follow it, so I can learn how to do it. Mine are hiked up pretty high and the bottom comes just below the top of my knee. Funny thing is I’m shorter than you, but my thighs must be longer? Crazy how people’s proportions can be different.
  13. Thanks Rat! What’s happened to the thighs? I haven’t been on here for awhile.
  14. It sure is! Really appreciate all the help that everyone has given!
  15. Thanks! It’s a real rough test fit, but I’m pretty happy with it so far.
  16. Been making a little progress here and there. Just need to paint the details on the body, finish the ab buttons, make some final adjustments and then work on the helmet. It feels nice to see it all coming together!
  17. sweet man you’re almost done! mine’s coming around slow, but it’s finally starting to come together. I still need to do shoulders and biceps, then do the bucket.
  18. ok got it, thanks Rat! yep, I was finally able to get some elastic for the back.
  19. Thanks for the info Dan! I tried moving them lower on the chest plate. I noticed that they start going over the ridge on the chest and won’t mount flat. Is this ok?
  20. Finally made some more progress. TD is all done! On to wrapping up the torso. All the elastic, snaps and rivets are in. I started test fitting the shoulder straps and they come too far onto the back plate. I found a post that mentions that the CRL has been updated to allow cutting the back of the strap for L1 approval. If I’m going for Centurion, then is this acceptable too? I just wanted to confirm. I was planning to cut off the back tab and a few ridges to make it fit better.
  21. Just a small update while I wait for the strap buckles to arrive. The gloves are done, made a few snap plates for the modified chest/ab connection and waiting for the paint to dry on the TD.
  22. OK I was hoping to keep the brackets for screen accuracy, but I'll go with the buckles and get the better fit. I just got them ordered with some more snaps, so I'm going to finish up the calves and start the TD while I'm waiting. Really appreciate all the help Daryl!
  23. Here’s testing fitting #2. I’ve made these adjustments: -on the chest piece, removed all the return edge on the neckline and trimmed more on the bottom by the ab -trimmed the excess shoulder tabs on the back piece -cut the notch on the bottom of the kidney Unfortunately, it’s pretty uncomfortable around the neck...on the verge of a choking feeling. I later tried stuffing the chest to pull it away from my neck and it helped a lot, so I can put foam in there if this fit looks right. I also tried widening the gap between the shoulder tabs on the chest and back, but I think it drops the back piece down a bit. Any thoughts on any other adjustments that should be made?
  24. OK gotcha, thanks Rat! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
