Looks like the earcaps have been upgraded.
-
Phew you had us worried there for a while.
-
Nice to see you over here Mark- Welcome. as Matt says there are alot of us here mate.
-
your strapping seems to need some tweaking
. also you need straps to keep the chest and back together. there are other small strapping malfunctions as well.
The originals had no strapping to keep the back and chest together they were strapped independently of eachother- the back was connected to the Kidney and the chest was connected to the Ab plate.
Also I think you need to raise the belt as it is sitting a little low, then you will be able to see the split in the Kidney/butt without having to remove the belt. You could also glue the shoulder straps on at the front and leave the rear free floating with white elastic loops holding them in place so you lose the velcro which makes them sit a little proud of the armour, these, along with the handplates suggested by Brian, are real quick fixes and I believe will enhance the overall screen accurate look of the armour.

Rob has excellent customer service. It's not that he's "slow" to respond to e-mails, it's his day job schedule and family that keeps him busy (I believe he's a commercial pilot). He'll get back to you, just be patient - he always makes good. I have dealt with him several times, and he's always happy to help.
Keep in mind that the helmets are slightly larger than other armor makes.
I would agree his armour is larger but I have not found that to be the case with the helmets I have seen, my friends RT is smaller than my TM.

I'm sure it will be price prohibitive for many of us! I wish SGB would do another run, I have seen Billy's SGB concept lid up close and it is a work of art.
-
Not posting this up to start a fight or debate but....
1/Try to keep your lid on and stay in character as much as possible.
The public do notice, and why be just a guy wearing a set of stormtrooper armour when you can be a stormtrooper.
2/Have fun. ( whilst observing point 1 ).

Shins - always remember your shins
LOL

This will be us and a few others of the UKG after we have danced in our BOOTS sitting on the steps in the night club catching our breath.
Can't be UKG Steve- they have their lids off!

Check out the thigh armour on the background TK- His left one is turned around and his right one has flexed at the top! Almost looks as if it is made of rubber!!
-
Rich that is outstanding mate! You really have nailed it, and kudos to your better half for such great pictures to show off the armour at its best!
-
I have met many people who have their height listed on sites such as IMDB as one thing where in actuallity they are another. How many times have you been to a con only to be surprised that the actor you see is not as tall as you imagined.
-
This is something that has always perplexed me. Mark Hamill is 5' 9", which is by no means, short. Sure he looked short-ish standing next to Harrison Ford, who is 6' 1", but it's not like he is the same stature as Ronnie James Dio.
Also Temuera Morrison is only 5' 7", which IS kind of short.... meaning that all the clones were 5' 7"..... you get where I'm going.
Leia's "short" line pretty much wrecked it for the vertically challenged. If she hadn't of said that, then we would never hear the public say anything about TK height.
I don't believe for a second Mark Hamill is 5'9''.
For the record I met some of the original troopers this year at an event and I was shocked that they were generally not tall guys.

Nice matey!!! I think I'm in one of them mate!
-
That is amazing work! It is so amazing I think I would go the next step and paint out the dial and the green Sonix sticker, more like the originals. I know this would hide some of the incredible detail that you have included but somehow that would make it even cooler that you painted it.

I'm off the board for a couple of days and Wow!!!!!! Looks great mate!
-
Hi and welcome!!!!
I have great friends in Belmont and have visited several times! Next time I'm over ( no plans at the moment) I'll look you up.
-
Congrats mate!!! Just a thought it might look better if you shorten the holster straps so they don't show over the top of the belt.
-
Nice mate!
-
Nice job!!!! You just can't beat TM IMO.
-
Don't worry Dennis, I'll put them back up later mate.
I just got wound up with all the crap going on and took them down. I don't see why others who want to find the boots for themselves should suffer because of a few narrow minded people, so I will get them back up.
-
Paul if anyone deserved to see you did! Nice one mate;)
-
Rolf I gaurantee if you come over we will look after you mate, just make sure you bring some armour!!!!
It would be great to meet you and troop with you!
Steve make sure he comes over;)
-
Paul good find- do you have a pair for Luke- It will completely finish off that 100% correct ANH suit that you made him.
-
i just need to build one my self. im a 6'2" and 230 and i've been told there are only a few different set of armor that would fit me! so any one with any idea/s let me know.
i;ve heard rt/mod but cant find any info on where to get a set.
RT mod is definitely good for bigger guys.
Chicago Screws for attaching holster to belt
in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories

----------------I used these as they have the advantage of Chicago screws and the look of rivets.
