  1. TK-92019 Reporting for duty. So proud to finaly reach this goal and be part of this awesome organization. Having a busy life, it has taken me 2,5 years working on my TK to get it finalized. The dream of joining is a lot older then that, so the road has been long. I am in the Outer Rim of Norway, and the foothold for the Empire here is fragile. In my city we are only 4, me included, to uphold the order in this region. Working hard to increase our numbers - in this part of the Nordic Garrison - the great city of Bergen. My wish TK ID was a risk - but i asked for 92019 becuase i had the Episode 9, 2019 premiere as my goal to finish. I made it with just a few days left, and the premiere being my first troop. We had great fun and my armor held up, didnt pinch too much and looked great. Photo of yours truly included. Btw: I have perfect aim!!

  3. Had my first troop and everything helt up great. I managed to walk ok in stairs and nothing pressed too hard. We trooped for 5 hours, so was an ok test. A great photographer took this picture of me. I have never looked this good before. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for clearing that for me. Where I am from, we are only 2 TKs. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  5. Thank you guys. I am really happy. Looking forward to my first troop tomorrow. My Blaster is a Disney Park toy that i put clay in, filled the screw holes and painted/ weathered. This is not approved, so I will need to see about finding a weapon. Two questions from me that i ponder about: 1. If you have a weapon - lets say a DLT-19 sniper blaster or an E-11 - is there any standard way to mark it or make it not look real, that is used by 501st? 2. Guessing this question comes up eery now and then, but can I use a Pauldron, or can those only be used by Sandy / HWT? Ty, guys
  6. Guys - I just got approved yesterday. I am now TK-92019 Feels really good to finally have reached this goal, and be ready for the troop at my local cinema on the premiere in just 2 days. I would really like to thank you guys. This has been my main source of help and advice. Means more then I can express, and the answers have been fast and helpful. Everyone who reply here! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Specially want to thank UKsWrath aka Tony. Your guide and answers here have been so vital. If I ever meet you, I want to buy you a beer or a coke..or both. TheSwed... same applies to you m8. Guys like you motivated me a lot. Also wanna mention TK-1650 for the helpful snap sheets and TK-300 for the snap guide. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  7. Well, I will have a few cm opening on the side. Going for basic approval, but ofc its black straps on black under suit, so I guess it's ok. The rivets are placed after the measurements you posted. Measured many times Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  8. If I put in the split rivets (painted white) on the ab and the back, does the strapping need to be aligned with them, or can I put the snaps in between? Also - made some male snaps on som abs, but the build up a bit on the glue side. Is that an issue? Can I get flatter snaps, or is this me overthinking? See pics for two types I have made. 9. Well, I am a lot more positive these days. Feel I know what to do and I really do believe i can get there within the next few weeks. Just got the last popper snaps I need (for the cod to back) and need some sowing done before I can install the rest of the strapping. Feel like my last obsticles are getting the shoulder bells to connect tight to my neck and do the adjustments to the belt. A bit scared about cutting in the fabric to get fabric to cover the holes.... Pictures will come during weekend i hope. So now i am actualy thinking about what ID number to put in my application
  10. Ok, I'll do that. Any comments to my questions? Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  11. Oh, forgot to post the kind of snap I have. Here: Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  12. So I did some test fitting and it seems to me I will need 5,5cm gaps on the side. Now I am going for basic approval, so as I understand it this should be ok. I am 6"2 so I believe I need these gaps on the back also to get everything aligned. Should be ok? Hopefully tomorrow I will make the holes and put in the snaps for the belt, back and the "extra" on the ab. All will be the type I have picture of below. This is ok to use for all these spots, right? Also put in the rivets on the left side and cod. I have measured and marked the spots for this. The distance between my markes for the belt snaps is 33,5cm on the ab plate. The distance on the belt seems to be 33,7cm. I'm thinking its safer to make the holes so it's a bit shorter rather then a bit to far apart...am I right? Coz the belt will handle 0,2cm shorter.. I think. Really trying to get this ready for the Episode 9 premiere, where my 3 local 501st members want me to be able to join. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  13. I need help with some measurements. In Tony's guide - Section about Assembly (Posterior Rivet) it says some have one snap, others have two. Then is says measure 1-1/8" and 5/8" from tip of cod. Then a picture shows him measuring 2-6/8" from the edge... I'm so confused about these measurements, probably also because I have to convert all to millimeters... Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  14. What snaps are the moste challanged The once that allways popped?
  15. I have ordered a bunch of stuff i need to get started with snaps as internal strapping. I am using this guide: http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/snaps.html?fbclid=IwAR3PKtcHQr-4IeAKo96SXoHnJtY787TgyeKnkmPOOsEQ4etUIKHw7HVKT78 as he uses stuff I am able to get here in Europe. Right now I just want to get moving on the build and get a basic approval. I dont think I will have a chanse to troop any more then once or twice a year (becuase of my time and also I live where there is only one other Stormtrooper and one Tie-Pilot, so not the biggest crew). How ever - this build is hanging over me like an exam i should have been preparing for - so I really want to get moving with what I have at hand.
  16. Trying to get back on this train, having RL issues for a while now. Reading the UKsWrath guide about the split rivets on the ab/kidney sides I have a question. The split rivets are installed and he says the strapping will be installed a bit later, but then you would have to remove the rivets and place new once right? Coz when you put in the strapping it needs to be messured to your body, and then installed ising the split rivits to hold them in place?
  17. But the corners are just for accuracy, right? Coz I kinda like the cleaner look with the sanded edges. Also, I see that I have the buttonsca bit bigger then that reference photo. Are they ok, or should I redo? Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  18. Been away on holiday but before I left I painted the button panels and attached the right thigh ammo packs. Both things I feared to do, but seems to have worked out ok. (See photos). Today I finally did something I have feared the most. I water bathed the top back shoulder tabs. Already had some advise about that here, and I had removed a lot of return edge. But the process was pretty much smooth. Here are some before and after picks. Next I guess will be to attach the shoulder strap ABS to the chest armor. I'm thinking I need as much length as I can, being 6'2" (189cm), so I am going to go for only 3 stripes being connected to the chest. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  19. When installing the ammo pack on the right thigh, I can't help but feel that having the curve and pack above the ridge would look better and be more solid than having it with the curves facing down and the whole thing stick down below the thigh. Last option also makes me bend it slightly up to reach upbti the end of the cover strip. Guess I have no choice? The ammo pack is supposed to be with the curves on the ends pointing down, right? Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  20. Both thighs done. Hopefully putting the ammo belt on today. As I have been waiting for glue to set I have worked some on the abdomen button panel, putting in some reinforcements on the inside of the cover strip parts and preparing the shoulderparts of the backarmor for reshaping. A little each day. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  21. I have done some extra removal and this is what it looks like now. Has to be ready for water bath. Just want to send it before I do it, so the edges are more sturdy. Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
  22. Allright. Tnx. But now I am thinking I might need to remove more around the neck? Allthough that part wont be that much affected by the reshaping.....
  23. Anyone have a photo showing how much should be removed? Sent fra min SM-G960F via Tapatalk
