TM does excellent work, all my armor is from him. He can bundle it all together too, bodysuit, strapping, gloves, everything. Paul is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him.

ROTJ TK boot sole painting
Spada Rossa replied to Stroker's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
After taping off all the leather around the soles, i just used a good white spray paint. Something that specifies it's good for rubber. Still holding up well after 19 troops. If anything, it looks a little better after it scuffs up and chips a little bit. Good luck! -
Hi, I'm looking to advance to EIB for my new ROTJ TK suit. According to the CRL, the elastic shoulder bell straps should be visible against the bicep piece. Mine are not and I cannot find one screenshot picture of a TK in ROTJ where these are visible. Even the model shown on the CRL page for this costume does not have them showing. Can I request this requirement be reviewed for accuracy? This is the only outstanding point I have right now holding up my application. Thanks in advance! Joe TK-91452 501st Empire City Garrison

Advice needed!

Getting a slight gap between the chest and ab, probably due to my 6'1" height. First instinct would be to lower the chest plate from where it's riveted to the shoulder straps. Any/all suggestions welcome.

First build for the 501st! Going good, Phase I (trimming) completed. Starting Phase II Fitting/Gluing next. Phase III will be riveting and strapping. Moving slow so i get everything spot on from the start. Excellent work and help from TM, highly recommended!

Thanks Allan, I knew I count on you! I'll give sskunky a shot, we'll see where that leads. Then i'll have to educate myself on what greeblies are and maybe go that route! Thanks! JM

Anyone know of anybody making these? Shooting for ROTJ Centurion level so it's a "must have". Appreciate any assistance or referrals. Thanks,

ANH, ESB, ROTJ, oh my...
Spada Rossa replied to Rocket's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Right, so this is something I've also been pondering over the last month or so! Literally snapping pics of ANH, ESB, and ROTJ suits and flipping back and forth, looking for differences. It's amazing how at first they all look alike, but after examining every nuance I can now spot an ROTJ from a mile away! I need a life!
In any case, I'm going ROTJ just to subtly different than the rest. I'm also thinking the rubber edges and more curved chest and back pieces have to be more comfortable. The overlap construction seems a bit easier than the butt-edge strips too.
Just my $0.02. -
Don Post Classic Action- Approved for 501st?
Spada Rossa replied to Spada Rossa's topic in Getting Started - Read this First!
Wow, glad I asked. Too bad, it's a great looking piece. Not perfectly accurate, especially around the eyes, but overall pretty good. Thanks for the advice. -
Hey all, Brand new to the forum and the whole TK world! I'm looking at the different brands of armor now and need to know if the helmet I already have will be approved. So does anyone know if the Don Post "Classic Action" model that i bought about 20 years ago is acceptable for entry into the 501st??
