  1. It has a very shallow pattern.
  2. I don't think it's strong at all. You start to realize as you're building it that, the 3d parts are in layers and layers like to come apart. On the stock pieces, as I was trimming the extra plastics off the ends, the entire stock started to split longways. I glued it back together and it's stayed together but it is a very fragile prop replica. Good for display only.
  3. I was under the impression that the longer part at the bottom went towards the outside of the leg.
  4. I used a regular household iron set at 3.5 and it worked great. Just takes a lot of patience.
  5. Here is another shot. ---------
  6. Here is mine being held by my flexible mannequin. ----------
  7. I just finished building the one from BlasterMaster on ebay. It turned out nice but is definitely not screen accurate. I was a real pain in the butt to build. Picture hand sanding 73 individual pieces. I wouldn't do it again. Check out KingYeti's E-11 build for pics.
  8. Thanks. I plan to darken/ weather the charging port to make it look like worn metal.
  9. I think for the price, it's a good deal. Is it accurate? No. But good as a first time build. I've read past post about BlasterMaster and didn't experience anything negative with him or his product. It certainly wasn't easy to build because of all of the sanding required but I'm happy with the end result.
  10. Picked up BlasterMaster's 3D printed E-11. Turned out pretty nice. Definitely wouldn't want to troop with it but it will look good with my armor when it's on the mannequin. A lot of sanding. Wouldn't want to do it again.
  11. I just got a mannequin from TK Products. It's a helluvalot taller but the armor fits it well.
  12. Final fitting. An inch off the top of the thighs made a lot of difference. Recreating the return edge was a bit time consuming but I did it with a regular household iron set at 3.5 and it worked great. It just takes a lot of patience.
  13. Got the belt done today. Did a little more fitting. My legs are so short, I think I'll have to remove some from the top of the thighs. I was hoping that taking a little more off the length of the chins would help but it didn't.
  14. I wear a size 9(US) and ordered a 10. They fit perfectly and are comfortable. I have a wide foot.
  15. I'm 5'7". I'm still working on the final fitting. I can walk around pretty freely but a little stiff on the bend. Just trying to make sure I don't take away too much material so I've just shortened it a little at a time.
  16. Technically this would be a almost built thread. I signed on March 18 when I got my kit and it's taken me this long to figure out how to post a photo. Anyway, I'm getting close to the finish and I will try to post more as I progress more. I'm waiting on the upgraded belt and still need to modify helmet as well as some final fitting issues. Feedback greatly appreciated!
  17. This is more recent. After some fitting adjustments and button panels.
  18. This is mine so far. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I've been trying to figure out how to post photos so this was also a test. Finally got a photo on here. I'm getting close to finishing this first time build. Waiting on the belt then start on helmet modifications. How is it looking? I've still got some fitting adjustments but I'm getting close to completion.
  19. Acetone evaporates very quickly. Even if you put to much, it would thicken just by leaving the cap off. Leave it off to long and the ABS will harden again. Acetone is a solvent.
