  1. If I had to guess then. I think it would be something they'd want to push around San Diego Comic Con time. It gives them lots of time to clean off their current plate of stuff and it gives them an initial audience to really push those sales. Of course that's baseless speculation on my part, but that would make the most sense to me if we're not getting it anytime soon.
  2. I'm glad you're at least aware of it. Hopefully people will see and start going to the original caster over these inferior knockoffs.
  3. Speaking of stuff to put inside the bucket. Anybody have some ideas for fans? I vaguely recall reading that one member used to sell fans custom fitted for the fiberglass 501st one? That combined with a new coating would just be stellar.
  4. There are side by side shots of the abs versus the fiberglass here. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34541-anovos-tfa-fn-stormtrooper-helmet-thoughts/?p=450134 I just want to state for the record that I'm going to give Anovos the benefit of the doubt and hope their 2016 kits will knock it out of the park. While there are minor quality control issues with the abs helmets and some slight changes between the two it seems. (However it's been mostly hearsay from members from the facebook TK build, so I'm assuming their word is solid). The little things don't bother me as much as it would other members I believe. However that said I am of the financial situation where owning multiple helmets and suits is really not a viable option for me. So I'd personally like to get the most accurate cost for parts worth out of my money the first time around. Best of luck to Anovos for the New Year.
  5. These stories that I'm hearing combined with the fact that the ABS trooping helmet's quality and proportions seemed a little off when compared to the Anovos fiberglass version is making me double guess my dedication to a FO build. If the other rumors about a basic kit costing well into the $1000 to $2000 region turns out to be true, I think I may go with one of the fan kits for both accuracy and cost saving measures.
  6. I got mine a good couple of days ago. I noticed that a common complaint (along with my own) is that the vents on the left side of the ABS version doesn't quite match perfect rectangles like the other side. Something tells me it's leftover flash from the injection process that everyone has to manual clear out themselves if little things like that bother them. My aerator socket is also a little bit weird, but in this case it's a little bit of extra material hangout that I'll have to file down. Instead of any major gaps like some others have had. It's interesting to see online actually that some people are perfectly happy with their helmets minor imperfections and all since as a trooping helmet it seems to be good enough. While other are calling it unacceptable for the $200-250 they paid and are requesting exchanges.
