I'm thinking about making a V2 with magnets as well, the open ends of the tubing make for a perfect concealment. Just a matter of finding magnets with a shape that will fit...

Thanks guys! Next patrol destination:

Very funny!
Did you have to get permission from the store before going in? Would love to do this!
No, I just went in winging it. Employees and staff ended up loving it!

a human sweat shop, nice!

Thanks guys! And yeah, imperial binders on the right (since fixed the broken the strap, which you can see). I stuff my voice amp under my chest armor with velcro.

Here's the first in a series of videos I'll be doing where I go on patrols or missions to different places, big and small. Enjoy!

Thanks Aaron. Looking forward to getting out there with some other TK's!

Yeah, the suit is less shiny than shown in the product photos, too. More of a nice soft satin sheen if that makes sense.

I'm digging that Tomsuit. I might have to check it out. I'm intrigued by the idea of the integrated gloves. Once you are in the armor, you are committed anyway. I always make a bio break before suiting up and one after, and once I'm in the armor, I'm in it for the duration. So one piece, two piece, doesn't matter. But, I do like the idea of the integrated gloves. Tugging up the gloves drives me crazy.
Yeah, the one I got doesnt actually have the gloves, it's just cut off at the wrists. The feet are attached, however.

A bit technical but fun nonetheless!

FWIW, my knee ammo pack stays up on the "curve" as well. doesn't stay level at all. Just can't happen with this kit.
Okay, good to know it's not just me! For some reason, it was the only way I was able to get it attached, is it just because of the length of the knee ammo? Seems like if it was longer it would accomodate a larger radius, thus a lower angle while still hitting the bottom of the thigh...

Made a new signature, here's the full size. Will update it when I get my TK number, probably add a 501st icon as well.

Hey guys, just watched this incredible 30min documentary on the making of most of the effects in Force Awakens. I work in the film industry and some of their tricks even surprised me!
Enjoy.

Sent in my 501st application, will take photos to submit soon as well. Is that light I see ahead?

New boots just arrived. Much better height. Think that will make all the difference.
They seem pretty spot on, from the stitching to the U shaped elastic. Will just need to sand down or fill the small logo by the heel. A great deal at $50 shipped!

Your new boots should fit nicely under your shins. May want to use velcro to keep them in place. You're definitely tall enough where putting your thigh ammo pack level won't effect mobility.
Yeah, new boots are much taller above the ankles, shouldn't be a problem.
