  1. I'm gonna go the TK-1636 method. It was either that or some tape but I'm not taking that route.
  2. Bucket is painted partially and just waiting on lenses and mic tips. Everything is trimmed so far and just needed to be glued.
  3. Search the forums for an under suit that's approved and reasonably priced. I bought mine on Amazon for around $30 all together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Awesome. I just needed some clarification before I started cutting away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Now with that said, do I cut the edge of each side according to the cover strip width? (Ex. 20mm cover strip and 10mm edge on each side) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I've seen these floating around the forums for shim measurements (forearms: 15mm x4 biceps: 15mm x4 Shins: 20 mm (front) 25 mm (rear) Thighs: 20 mm (front) 25 mm (rear)) would these be suitable for a guy who's about 5'5" and around 150lbs? I may go a little wider on the shins though. I wear leg braces for walking and I'm gonna need them to troop! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Here's my supply list so far as from doing research on the forums. -Tin snips(straight and curved) -Ruler -Tandy Line 24 snaps 5/16th post(30 ct) -Snap setting anvil -Hammer -Dremel w/assort. heads -Drill w/assort. Bits -2" wide industrial Velcro (gonna split it to double) -Shop blade -finishing strips Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have the ear screws just need a new ear. I have a guy here in AZ who vacuforms the abs so he said he'd fix me up a new pair of ears. This time I'll do them right and not rush through em. I now know the importance of "take your time you'll get it done." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Alrighty so I'm working on my build and I'm doing my research. I've come across many things but I'm still unsure as to where to get certain things locally. Specifically on the west coast of the US. I've built my bucket and I'm gonna fix it up as I go. I'm either 1. Getting new ears or 2. Patching the holes made by my "gauges". Either way they will be restored. I'm currently fine trimming the thighs and shins. I'm gonna go with a Velcro attachment for the shins. Does anyone know what size shims I should cut out beforehand? I've seen numbers floating around for shins and thighs but no definite answer. I'll post pictures in this thread. Lend me your wisdom oh wise ones! ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I think I've found a solution! Hear me out, I'm gonna take a scrap of my ABS and cut it small enough to fill the hole. And either glue it or let the screw push it outwards towards the ear and other parts of the where the hole is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. But this is fine to use for the forearms, biceps, thighs and shins? I have e6000 but I'm not all too fond of the odor it has. Especially with it being a 24 hour wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. with the snaps, can I glue them to a piece of ABS then glue that to the innards of the plastic(ex. Snaps glued to the chest/ab plate or shoulder bridges for torso and back) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. that's how I plan to do it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks, eqdizzle! I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I did the same with my ears. Would this method also help fix taking off too much of an ear? There's missing spots that I'd like to fill up. I took off a bit too much. Nothing drastic though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Thank you DarkTrooper! I knew I'd find some humor in my mistake. I'll get to patching it up soon. Should I also do the same for a few new teeth? I may have done some unnecessary dental work.
  17. <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah138/Eliazar_Alex_Garza_III/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpskbo5mds0.jpeg'>http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah138/Eliazar_Alex_Garza_III/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpskbo5mds0.jpeg</a>
  18. Akrighty, so I'm building an ANH Stunt TK and ice been working on the helmet. I and a friend of mine were screwing in the ear screws and I find that he had grabbed the wrong screw size. My ears look like they have piercings (studs) in them. The length is fine but, the width is rather large. I've acquired the right screw size after reading up on it. Thankfully I've only drilled into the bottom of the helmet. I could get a counter sunk screw in the size drilled but with me being particular about symmetry I don't think it'll look good. Any idea on what I should do? Can I have different screw sizes on the ears? I didn't see anything in the CRL for exact specifications. Btw in going for the basic 501st approval.
