  1. Looks like I'll be doing that shin fix as well. GGGGGGGRRRRR!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. No, just grabbed a black shirt and my softball pants, lol. Will have the undersuit delivered soon I hope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Everything but the shins! https://vimeo.com/155197515 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Almost there! Dogs haven't been too much help, however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Is it possible to trim the back plate shoulder pieces? They are really digging into my shoulders because the corners point down. Maybe rounding them off? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thinking I build the top of the boots up with white duct tape so they slide up under the shins for now. Have a work skit in a meeting on the 18th, so they just need to work for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Obviously not TKBoots. Guess y will do for now but perhaps I trimmed the calves too small? Seemed to have the required 1/2". TKBoots are taller I think. Can't really slide the calves down any further. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wow, from the top, the helmet is really wonky. Makes wearing it feel like it is twisted. Added some pads inside and tweaked the lens to avoid my nose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Tired, but as the wind has died down, reducing the airflow in my office, this might be an apt description. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Slowly getting there! Love to keep working on it tonight but I feel like this and need to get to bed... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I cut the ends off and spring/loaded them between the two foam squares that cover the ear nuts. Stays tight in place, closer to the eye holes but are easily removed if I want to put different ones in. I may see how some lighter ones work now that the inside is black. 12. Has anyone modified the lens strip in the helmet? Seems like if it was smaller, it would give some more room inside. I'm stripping the bucket out to plastidip the inside. Even if I just trimmed about 2 inches off each end and put some pads with Velcro closer to the eyes, it would help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Glad you enjoyed it! My son keeps bugging me to let everyone knows that he did some of the filming, as I apparently didn't include him in the credits...lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I'm sure some may have seen this in the FB page, but if not, enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/groups/838545079553903/permalink/979522145456195/ In case FB won't open. https://youtu.be/AyWyRL_ZndI Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Tony, for the forearms, do the strips have to be exactly opposite each other or it is ok if they are a bit towards the outside ridged edge? Based on how I had to trim it to fit my arm, the right one is a bit off. Hoping I haven't ruined it. The butt joint isn't totally flat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Two down, one to go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I'm also going to thicken them up. Actually, this is a costume helmet for a SW parody skit I am developing for a work meeting. I'm sure there won't be anyone there that will be calling out my discrepancies, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I went ROTJ on this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Couldn't wait any longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Maybe some strategically placed heat on those teeth and pulling down the bottom to stretch them out will fix it some? Still pushed back too far. A complete removal and sculpt of that side may be in order. Seems like an awfully big mistake to ship out to everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Any thoughts on how to fix the wonky teeth? Mine won't arrive until this Saturday, but I'd like to have a game plan. Perhaps some heating and stretching? Or glueing some replacement teeth over them to bring them out further and then trimming the backs down? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I have almost completed my sandie and would like to have it evaluated for inclusion in the 501st. Still a few pieces to complete, like the cod and butt plates and some painting. But it is as near screen accurate as I can get it. Any suggestions are welcome. Since my Anovos has not arrived I had to scratch build. Updated: Completed build pics. 23. Well, I'll give them a shot. They didn't cost much so I'm not out much if j have to get other ones. Risk/reward. I'll try the Velcro strapping method I've seen here if they are a little short. Just so excited to be starting down the path of having my first set of armor. My first step into a larger world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Yes, the shape is a u. Shoes are a little warped from the box. Wearing them, it looks ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Any thoughts on these? Were cheap and they fit nice, figured I'd try. 501 compliant? No seams on the front. -----------
