  1. Yeah, I know that! [emoji851] I guess if I was wearing my ANH stunt with a Pauldron, who would know it was not Rebels based? Other than the "cartoonyness", any physical differences? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. What's the difference (and excuse my ignorance) between an OT TK and the Rebels TK? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Saw one on Rebels, so just curious...
  4. <br> Howdy...so after discovering my cheap boots off Amazon will be no Bueno for TK approval, I'm looking at tkboots & imperial boots web sites. Any feedback on either, and also any comments on sizing? I'm a 10, so will that be good size to order, or has anyone found the actual sizing of these products to be off?<br><br> www.tkboots.com<br><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://www.imperialboots.com/product/421/'>http://www.imperialboots.com/product/421/</a>
  5. I'm sure this info is on a thread/the interweb somewhere, but was reading this thread and thought I'd ask. Is there a (even if very tentative) release timeframe for full TFA TK/FN (?) armor for sale? I'm finishing up my original TK for 501 submission soon.
  6. Battery life is a good point! Think I'm sold on the 12v Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Decided to just hang this around my neck... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thinking of having behind chest piece (never understood having at back). Will the 12w fit there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hi all - getting ready to buy my Aker &amp; icomm. Thoughts on the 10 watt vs 12 watt (or higher?). Is the 10w enough, or is bigger better?? Price difference is minimal, so that's not the issue. 12w does appear slightly physically larger, but twice the weight (0.41lb vs 0.92lb). Not sure if that is a huge deal or not. Thoughts/opinions/recommendations?<br><br><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1506-aker-10watt-voice-amplifier/%27' class="bbc_url" title="External link">http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1506-aker-10watt-voice-amplifier/'>http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1506-aker-10watt-voice-amplifier/</a><br><br></a><br> <a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='<a data-ipb='nomediaparse' href='http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1505-aker-12watt-voice-amplifier/%27' class="bbc_url" title="External link">http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1505-aker-12watt-voice-amplifier/'>http://store.voicebooster.com/voicebooster-mr1505-aker-12watt-voice-amplifier/</a></a>

    TK vs "FN"

So, just curious...pics of troopers on TFA are prefixed TK still...so not amending to FN for TFA
  11. Please excuse the lack of pics to try to better explain. As I'm putting my TK together, due to my short, stocky (but beautiful) body, without any shins I'm going to either have the back plate connected tight up by the shoulders, but this will create a good 2" gap between the back & kidney plate...or tighten up the kidney plate gap, but will leave more black and gap up by the shoulders. From a basic 501st acceptance/general aesthetics standpoint, which is preferable? Or should I just try to meet in the middle and have smaller gaps on top & bottom?
  12. ---------- Might be a fun buy. I know you can make them, but I'm lazy...
  13. Hi all - just trying to set the split rivet on the cod piece (then will be the sides on the ab/back) but having a heck of a time trying to flatten the "splits" out. Any tips?

  15. I've seen the elastic strap that wraps around the armpit/arm secured to the bell via snaps, Velcro and glue. Preferences? It doesn't need to be attached and taken off (in my understanding) so thinking just gluing in place is best?
  16. The former...but I agree with Tolo...just being impatient I guess! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hi all - any thoughts on using Velcro as a way of securing all key parts of armor in order to get 501st approval, and THEN working on more secure/rigorous snap connections? I'm keen get approved and everything, and also want to do a good job with my kit, so was thinking rather than rushing the attachments, use Velcro as a "very" temp measure in the meantime. Any input or messages of caution?
  18. Hey there - these look awesome. If at all possible, would you be able to perhaps add a title to each outlying which part of the armor you are working on in that video? I really thank that will help people navigate the massive amount of info you have there! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hi all - my bucket has hot glued in lenses (I bought completed), and I've been advised to look to remove them, and re-attach with just spots of glue at the corners to allow space, which will help with air circulation and fogging. Any tips on how best to do this with out taking the whole thing apart - just slowly hack away with an exacto blade? I've got some Echo fans in the mail, so hopefully that will also help. Also just bought some "cat crap" (who came up with THAT name?!) that has been recommended also.... Other Anti-Fogging tips? Especially for folks with sealed in lenses (in case I can't extricate)
  20. Tried searching, but couldn't find anything. I have thicker arms & legs (yeah yeah, and maybe the middle area too!), so looking for a good thread/links on creating shims for those areas...any input?
  21. Sigh, why don't links work here?<br><br> Anyway, go to YouTube and search "Stormtrooper falls down stairs". The title kind of gives away the content. Poor guy...
  22. http://youtu.be/GEPcxs5IIJI<br><br> But you have to admire his attempt to recover by putting the bucket back on! <br><br><br> Any good horror stories out there of armor/trooping mishaps?
