  1. Michael, I very much doubt you'll be able to put your real sterling on it with strengthening or modifying the manny. I've got one of the bendy manny's I've had for years and the arms and hands aren't strong enough. Getting it to hold a resin or pipe build is tricky in itself. I've never even considered it strong enough for my sterling.

  2. Why do you think there is something different about the strapping or assembly?

Because I've seen different ways of strapping it and different ways of assembly.

Some have inner over outer and visa versa.

I've seen strapping done differently too. The Velcro and elastic strap on the chest plate for starters. That's not on all I've seen. Different thickness elastic in places.

If you look at a number of originals there are differences. Many suits were altered during filming. Not all look the same. There's no point looking at one suit and expecting all to be the same.

  3. Outer goes on top of inner.

Actually forearms are overlapping inner over outer as do the thighs. On some suits if original armour. On other suits it's different like the one that is in the exhibitions. so I don't think we can be too picky what is right and wrong. You cannot look at one suit and call that canon. There are variations.

Also it is quite hard to tell the difference between the ESB MKII armour and a ROTJ armour if it's coupled with a ROTJ helmet. I think we can overthink this into what's right and wrong. It seems anything goes.
