Omg, build me one as well please!
Ditto that. Will there be a blaster run of these?
-
I canceled my bid due to staff request. I hope the coin came back home?
I was going to donate it back home if I won it......
Did the staff win it back?
No, the seller put my ebay account on a blocked list. Luckily it's on it's way back anyway.
-
Dan (the seller) was nice enough to block my ebay account so I couldn't bid on it. I tried to snipe it but got a nice ebay message instead.
I guess pooled FISD staff money isn't good enough for some people.
-
Hopefully the FISD staff will be buying it back. Maybe we can do something special with it and make it into a positive.
-
Pinned the topic. Hopefully people will get what they paid for. I know a garrison mate drove to his place a long while back to pick up an order since he was local. Maybe he can contact him and get an update.
-
The seller is the original organizer and seller of the first two runs of FISD silver coins and the only run of gold coins. He is gone from the Legion and burned all his bridges on the way out.
-
Contact the Arkansas squad of the Star Garrison. Memphis is pretty close, and they love to troop.
-
Man that's a party, and a great looking cake to top it off. Makes me look forward to this summer when my son turns six.
-
Pat, you never cease to entertain and you look darn good doing it.
-
There is a huge difference between the TE2 and your older ATA - the ATA while thicker yet more supple didn't have the detail the TE2 had, even to an untrained eye. The new ab plate you pulled - even with no changes to the mold - looks identical to the TE2.
So even just from updating your vac machine, the level of detail want up a significant amount.
Actually the ab plate did get a sharpness and detail overhaul, just like the back plate. The rest of the kit is sharper using most of the original molds from before.

You can also get a UV blocking film to go on the windows from any home improvement center as well. Most are rated for 3-5 years before breaking down.
-
WOW and since your fist post, you've also been the CTN DL as well. Face it, you're addicted to white plastic.

That's interesting considering the TSA has nothing to do with packages coming into the US.
An alternative to not shipping to the US could be to find someone in Canada to forward the packages for you. Shipping is very reasonable between the US and Canada.
-
According to the US Customs, they aren't the ones rejecting the packages, it's the other country's postal systems imposing restrictions that don't exist or are falling fault to rumor.
-
OK I called USPS international about this, and they refereed me to US Customs. Talked to a very nice lady there and she said there are no new limits or embargoes for packages coming into the US, and that it this is a rumor that they are aware of that is circulating in some countries postal systems.
The limits I posted above are for the postal system, carrier services can go to 75lbs I believe.
-
I'm in the US. Anyone can send packages to the US that are over 500g, I believe the max is 20 lbs (7.8 Kg) for priority.
-
Must me a miscommunication, I just checked with the USPS and this 500g restriction doesn't exist.
There is a restriction that everything over 4lbs (1.8Kg) and/or one cubic foot has to go international priority which would be about $41 thanks to rate increases, it was $33 before Jan 1st.

Awesome! Love the fixing you've done to some of the parts there T. Looks great! Will be nice to see these up and walking around.
Well I have to thank Kevin at OSCS for giving me the nudge and some guidance to start overhauling and sharpening molds. It's a start, but I still have much more to do.
Looking sweet, and sharp bro.
I can´t wait to see a fully assembled one, walking around as well
The ab looks great (maybe you could make the string over the box longer, and add the cleft in the tk/TD 4/3 dot area, it should be easy and quick and give a lot too)
I've got the cleft penciled in, but just haven't carved it out yet. Yes it the rectangle needs to be made taller to be accurate and accommodate the button strip while letting the cleft underneath still be seen. Just like the strip on top of the middle button box needs to be extended and fade into the ab plate. All in due time.
-
Also does that mean the helmet is fx shaped as well?
Should be. SA and AM/FX are the same person.
-
I'll still be making HIPS armor for those who want it. I'm also working on getting the same ABS that the FX/AM kits are made from to offer upgrade helmets that are a perfect color match.
-
Outstanding work, you have some great metal skills.
-
how much would this cost? also would you do spare parts?
Beautiful kit!
I always offer spare/replacement parts. Email me at ataworks@yahoo.com for pricing.
Thanks

I love your TD mould
And the rest of it lol, but that mould looks cool just on its own
why not put a horseshoe shape on the bottom of your ab plate vertical rectangle?
I have the strip on the vertical rectangle penciled in, I just haven't carved it out yet. It'll be done though.
This is awesome news bro! Will this be offered in black ABS as well?
Yes it'll be offered in black ABS, just not immediately unless you want nasty haircell ABS which I can get all the time. I'll take care of my TX bothers and sisters as well.
Nice . So will this still be ''Affordable'' trooper Armor ...?
Of course it's the lest expensive ABS armor offered ever. It's ATA .
-
Well this has been a 10 month project getting a new vac table built, and working through color samples to find the correct custom cream/off white color ABS, which is 80 gauge. If you need more details about the kit email me at ataworks@yahoo.com, please no PMs I get enough with FISD and Legion stuff.
Sorry for the low quality pics. I'll take better ones this weekend and pictures of all the parts. Somehow forming the first suit I forget the knee plate.

Purple Masking Fluid?

link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2020
Vallejo just came out with a masking fluid last month. They are my paint brand of choice and if it's anything like their other products it'll be excellent.
