  1. I have noticed that the body armor was mounted a bit low, so I took another photo with it mounted higher. Also the helmet padding edited to sit higher and thigh armors are reduced in width to remove the extra room and make holster to not be diagonally hang from the belt.
  2. For the models used in the movie, I am assuming they used paper for the costumes for the better suiting texture for smaller scale. The netting seems like it is just another layer of laser cut paper, not actual netting. For full scale costume I think you do not need to follow actual medium! Hope this helps!

  4. I have cut the lips of the buckets to fit them into shape. (Blue line indicates where I have made a cut) They were overlapping with too much gap, so I trimmed down a little more on 1 quart buckets to make the good width of band like shown in Marmit backpack: After the rough fitting, the 1 quart buckets were too long, so I have trimmed along the 4oz line of the buckets. (50ml line pictured. But by testing, it turned out to be needing more trimming than the 50ml line, so the 4oz line was used as final trim line) I am happy with the shape they make right now. I will glue them together soon and update more here. Please feel free to give me suggestions!
  5. Hi everyone, I was always hoping to build Spacetrooper backpack since I have seen the screenshot of two tiny Stormtroopers in hangar with new looking backpacks. I slowly gathered up some materials that would be most screen accurate by using some help from topics like: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/9655-space-pack-resource-topic/ and http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=25421&highlight=spacetrooper (*RPF topic) Most of the reference comes from Marmit series unproduced Spacetrooper figure (http://www1.odn.ne.jp/~cdt96010/marmit-vader.htm) From searching, I have discovered a post suggesting that the lower portion of the backpack resembles the shape of the escape pod studio scale model from production of ANH. It has been made out of paint mixing buckets so I decided to use paint buckets for this build. Most of the materials were gathered from hardware store except AMT's Texaco tanker scale model, which was from ebay. Two 1 quart buckets and two 16 ounce buckets A Texaco tanker model (No end parts pictured) 1" OD dishwasher hose (Many people seem to use ribbed hose for this part but seeing the picture of Joe Johnston with the backpack, this part seems to be a smooth, rubbery tube) 1-1/4 in polypropylene pipes (Two wall pipes should be replaced with a p-trap. I was thinking of making perfect U shape with them but figured out just using an imperfect p-trap shape wouldn't be a problem.)

  7. I have an experience with 3d printed barrel and it broke into pieces when I first dropped it. So I decided to use disney one as base and use 3d printed parts. I am still on a process of printing them out but I am avoiding to print the parts that are prone to break.
  8. Have you checked out how-to thread on modifying armor for smaller size? http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/18243-howto-modifying-armor-for-women/ and also Pandatrooper's AM build. AM TKs are way too big so pretty much everyone shorter than 6' would need to trim them to fit fine. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/10434-pandatroopers-am-build-threadam/ They should give you some ideas on where to trim down for the better fitting.
