  1. I have the Velleman in mind but not in hand. I'm not gonna be devastated if I can't fit the whole system in my helmet, but I wanna see and try and figure it out before going with hiding the speaker in the scarf, as it seems a few Kylos do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Already done that a while ago, and we're all still talking about it. I thought I'd get some thoughts from some stormtroopers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Im working on a Kylo Ren build and I'm planning on installing a voice changer into my helmet and would like to try to have the entire system be in the helmet. I've heard there are many different systems that the Stormtroopers use for their helmets and wondered if anyone had any recommendations/advice/etc. for fitting speakers into the helmets. 4. I've had a post on the RPF for almost a month and no one has really commented :/ I've even been commenting on it occasionally so that it doesn't get buried. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. My eyes are untrained to Stormtrooper details, but they look pretty darn close to me, aside from minor details like the blue lines and the ear pieces. Then again, this is a Rogue One trooper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hello! I was wondering if some people could help me figure out/dissect the costume of The Moon Sisters from Kubo and the Two Strings. References: I'm wondering if the pants are hakamas, but not sure what material. I was also looking into the material used on their sleeves and under-shirt. I've come to the conclusion that it's likely a sort of rope-like netting over a black base. It's a bit difficult, being a miniature scale and all. This stuff is the closest I could find, but it doesn't look QUITE right. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Since lll be in an apartment for a while and unable to vacuum form, does anyone recommend making my armor by pepakura or slush casting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Okay, I suppose you're right. ATA had caught my eye, for when I'm ready to make TK armor. I'll look for "KB" for FOTK armor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thank you still wondering if there are any diy options, too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thank you! I looked through quite a few posts (including the one on basics of where to get armor pieces) but couldn't find TFA armor kits, mainly just ANH and RotJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Hi, my names Collin! I'm currently working on a Kylo Ren costume for my entrance into the 501st, but I have quite a bit of interest into making a stormtrooper costume too (preferably First Order, but I'd also like an Original Stormtrooper one too) and have been researching the build while working on my Kylo. I have more interest in making the armor myself than just buying a kit, but since I'll be in an apartment for a while, I doubt vacuum forming will be a good option. I was thinking pepakura, but I haven't been able to find any WIPs of anyone going that route. I'll have plenty of time to look into how to become a stormtrooper while working on my Kylo. Any help would be tremendously appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
