OK, am I really as stupid as I feel or is it really this difficult to order this???
I've never had any problems ordering the DoopyDoo kit. I think I've ordered 3 kits from them. Maybe the website is a lil hard to navigate. They also sell the kit on Ebay for the same price. That is where I purchaced all my kits. Try that & see if its easier.

Best advise is to read & read some more. There is so much info in here about the Stormtroopers. I can spend hours & hours reading about stuff I neer knew existed.

Yes seems we all wanted to be stormtroopers from the moment we first saw them storm the Tantive IV in Star Wars. Its my favorite of all the Star Wars costumes. The best advice I can give is read & read some more. I can spend hours on here finding out things I never knew about the stormtrooper. If you have questions ask away. Everyone here is so helpful. I've leared all kinds of tricks during my TK build, & some new ones I'll try on my wife's new TK kit.

I forgot about the smell. Yes the CA smell FOREVER! The TK's smell like new leather.
One thing that I forgot to mention is price. The TK cost $49.00 + $13.00sh CA were $70.00 + $18.00sh. Also the shipping is much faster with TK. A friend of mine ordered his CA about 3 days before I placed my order. He's still waiting for his boots. Mine were ordered on Sun May 30,10 & delivered on June 2,10. I would have had them a day earlier, but Monday was Memorial Day(No Mail Delivered)

Here is a comparrison between TKBoots & CABoots. Both are a size 10.
Looking at the pictures, the TKBoot is on the right side.(Except the rear faceing. I accidently switched boots)
Both are very true to sizing. I wear a mens size 10 police or military work boot & both fit great toe wise. The TK is a lil narrow on the sides. But being leather they should strech & become more comfortable with each wearing.
The TK is real leather & has a dull or "mate" finish. The CA is patent leather with a glossy finish.
The TK is about a half inch shorter in height than the CA.
The TK has a plain front & has no seams running down. The CA has one slanted seam down the front & then inward to the ankle.
On the rear the TK has a leather strip with two seams. The CA just has one seam running down without the extra material in the back.
Both have the elastic sides, & the heals are almost identical.
To me both were about the same comfort wise.

My boots arrived today. Very happy with them. I wear a sz 10 Nike running shoe & 9.5 work boot. I ordered the size 10. They fit fine. I would say they run right on with a size 10 boot. They are a lil snug on the sides. But with time they should break in & wear more comfortable. The delivery was AWSOME. I ordered them Sunday at 3:30am befor work. When I got home I had an email with a tracking #. The comunication was great too. Every email was answered quickly. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER BOOT ANYWHERE

Boots arrived today. They look great! They are a lil snug on the sides. But will strech with more & more wearings. Being real leather they should become more comfortable with time. You can'tbeat the price. $49.00 for real leather stormtrooper boots. The delivery was super fast. They even shipped them out on a Sunday. I ordered mine at 3:30Am Sunday morning before I left for work. When I returned home. I had an email saying they were shippd out with a confirmation number. Now that is great customer service!
On a seprate note. I also picked up thier Orange Sandtrooper Pauldon. This looks real good to me too. So both their products get high marks from me.

My TKBoots just arrived today. I've been wearing them for about an hour. They are a lil snug, but I belive they will loosen up with more wearing. These are real leather & leather streches with more & more wearings. I'm very happy with them. The shipping was super fast! I ordered them Sunday at 3:30Am & they came today(Wed) at 5:00Pm. I would have had them yesterday, but Monday was Memorial Day & no mail.

I remember getting shocked while messing with my spark plug wire while my truck was running. I know I've done sme stupid things, but I would never volunteer for that

I remember my first introduction to Star Wars. I went with my Dad & Uncle to pick up my two cousins who were at the theatre watching Star Wars. They came back so excited & were elling thier dad all abut this wonderful movie they had just seen. Right there I asked my dad. "Dad, do you think you could take me to see this movie?" My life has never been the same.

Picked up he wife's stormie kit today. Got a few upgrades for my FX kit while I was there. I'll start on it in between completeing mine on my weekends. Also I have two weeks vacation next month. I should have it done in that time.

I ordered my TKBoos Sunday at morning. I got the UPS confirmation & they will be here tomorrow. Now thats super fast shpping. They would have been here yeserday, but it was Memorial Day & no mail ran. Can't wait to get them tomorrow. The only bad thing UPS delivers around 5pm at my house

My wife knew what she was getting into before she married me. You gotta set them straight from the beguining. I told her she goes before my Star Wars goes
Serriously I begged & begged her to go to C4 with me. She finally gave in when I pulled I always wanted to show up at convention with a hot wife so all the nerds could be jelous.....Shhh she doesn't know Im nerd yet. 
She said on one condition. She would only go if she could wear the Slave Bikini 
She loved it & was part of the group photo that was in Star Wars Insider. She troops with me when ever she can. So my advice to you...GET THE WIFE INTO SOME ARMOR!!! Here's a pic from our troop last weekend. My Tk is not finished so Im in the Tie Pilot & you can figure out which one she is.

So sorry to hear about your frined. Loosing friends is always hard. But we can get you pointed in the right direction so your buddy can see you troop from that galaxy far far away.
Yes there is so much information out there. I spent hours & hours looking at it. I find something new everyday. There are sevral "vendors" out there to choose from. The best advise I can give you. When you do get your kit. Take your time in building it. You may only be able to complete one piece at a time. Don't rush it. Let the glue cure & harden. You don't want it to come apart while trooping.
