  1. Hey Everyone,

My wife who goes by the callsign Berlin over in the JRS will be wearing white armor real soon. Im going to pick up her armor tomorrow at noon. So now I have to hurry up & finish my TK & get started on hers. I was hoping to wear our Tie Pilots to San Diego Comic Con, but maybe now we'll both be able to wear Stormtrooper White :dancing-trooper::dancing-trooper:

  2. First I filled any unwanted holes, nicks or scraches with the premixed Bondo in a tube. Sanded litely & washed with a wet paper towel several times. I used a 2part 5 minute epoxy to attach all resin parts to the gun. I primmerd with Walmart brand spray paint about 4 coats. Then spray painted about 7 coats of silver & finished off with 5 coats of flat black. Make sure all your paint coatings are lite & dry before applying the next coat. Heavy coats will glob, run, & not dry right. I've used Walmart brand of paint on my blasters & other projects. .98 a can & never had a problem with it :dancing-trooper:

  3. If it is the foam/crack sealer you can try this. I had the same stuff on some of my projects. But never left on for more than a few days. Trim off as much as possible with a new exacto knife. Then sand lightly with the 2000 grit sand paper(you can find this at auto parts store) Once it's gone, you can use Novus Plastic Polish to bring back te shine. Novus is a 3 step process. :dancing-trooper:

  4. Im not sure what ATA Armor is made out of. But I have a FX. I marked with a pencil & used a dremil. The dremil I used I bought at Harbor Freight for $7. So you don't need to go out & buy the most expensive one at the store. I used a corse sanding drum & it took off my excess very quickly. I did both theigh tops in under 5min, & I was being extra carful. Make sure ou wear goggles if you use a dremil. It WILL kick up lots of plastic right into your face. :dancing-trooper:

  6. I think E6000 would be fine for the job, just don't use too much. I used that on my fiancee's slave leia and it worked fine. She wore it for about 10 hours a Comic Con last year without any problems.

    Thanks ThayNerd,

I used the E6000 to attach the bra cups. Man this slave bikini is the most difficult cosume I've ever worked on, & I'm pretty good at making costumes & props  Wasn't too sure how to make the curvature of the cup. I finally figured out that I would have to sew in some "wedges" This worked out perfect. I used an unlikly tool today in helping me shape the bra material to the frame. Would you belive I used my softball to fill the bra cup  I sewed some knots around the fabric & the frame to hold the material in. I trimed the excess material off & removed the knots, then glued the piece in. Came out perfect. :dancing-trooper:

  7. Use a hair dryer / heat gun on low to warm up the tape / adhesive to remove it. You can soften up the residue and use a fresh piece of tape to quickly "tap" the area, and the soft adhesive will stick to the tape. the rest can be wiped off.

Personally, I would not use WD40. It's a solvent for grease, not plastic. I use alcohol or Goo Gone for adhesive residue.

WD-40 is NOT a solvent. It a lubricant which means it is a grease. It says right on the can" effectively cleans most surfaces of: adhesives" & " will not harm plastics" Im telling you, I used this on the FRONT of my TK theigh armor. Will not harm it at all. I sprayed it onto a napkin & wiped away the residue with slight rubbing. Then washed with dish soap & dried with a towel. The tape I had on my armor was about 2 1/2 years old. The residue was hard & yellow. It came right off & my theigh looks good as new.
