With my extra large boot project I think a spray paint woud be best. Gonna order the Nu-Life Spray Paint. A few have asked for a tutorial. I'll be glad to post pics, goofs & success once all the supplies get here. For those who don't know what Im about to udergo, here it is. I live in Bakersfield Ca, in the summer it gets in excess of 100' normally around 105'-110' Problem being my scout trooper boots are starting to come apart do to the heat melting the glue under the vinyl. tute comming soon

Gaffer Tape, knife, plyers, small screwdrivers, couple of dollars, batteries & something else, but can't remeber it right now. i'll rememer when Im out trooping & need it & go Ohhh thats what I needed to replace in the repair kit

Thats looks good. Only palce the paint rubs off is where the armor rubs. This shoud work perfect for my scout boots since there will be no rubbing against the boot anywhere.

Very helpful. Im going to tackle a much larger boot. I am not happy with the Biker Scout tutorial. I live in a extremly hot climate & the vinyle is starting to come off my work boot. So I bought some extra tall engineer boots to convert into Scout Trooper boots

Target & Walmart are both flooded with them. Walmart has them for $17.97 & Target had to lower their price to compete. We have 4 Super Targets & 4 Super Walmarts in town & all have them in stock. They are probably trying to clear out the old packageing. Hasbro will once again change the packageing by end of the year. If anyone needs one, send em a PM & I can pick one up for you & mail it at cost. Just willing to help out a fellow unarmed Trooper.

Berlin & I wear Under Armor Heat gear. Very thin & comfortable. They also make a cold gear that comes with a fuzzy liner.

A good thing with the E6000 is that it can be easily removed if you get a "over spill" blob. The next day take an exacto knife & make several lite cuts on the glue blob at the seam. Next gently slide the blade under the blob & it will pop right off. It's best to make sure you have a new blade on the exacto knife. BUT REMEMBER LITE CUTS! You dont want to cut too deep & cut right through your armor.

I've had this same mistake. The next day you can take an Exacto kniffe & gently make several lite cuts to the glue at the appropiate seam. Then gently slide the blade under the gule blob. It will "pop" right off.

I remeber seeing that helmet when i was a kid. It went for under $10 at Kmart. There was also a plastic "laser sword" that came with it.

I can't comment on the ROM. But I do have a Trik Toys voice amp. I got it back in 2007 off Ebay for around $25. I havn't had one problem with it. I tape it to the back side of my chest armor & run the wire up under my balaclava, out the face hole & use the headset over. Sounds great & no one has a problem understanding what Im saying.
