  1. I'm already working on some additional strapping (and some weight loss apparently) to tighten that side. I don't have extra split rivets to replace the elastic, so I'm going to just add a couple extra straps, instead. Otherwise I'd replace the elastic and keep it a little tidier.

  3. Of course it is.......thanks for the correction!
  4. Firebladejedi, you've posted 3348 posts alone......let's say an average 10 seconds per post......That's over 550 hrs in posting alone!!
  5. Is there a feature that we can see how many hours we've spent researching & lurking on this site?
  6. Jaydon McRae 74614 EIB Letter Thanks!
  7. If I decide to just fill the hole and the 'off' on the magazine, and not put that mod in, will that be accepted for Centurion?
  8. All the lists I found were a bit vague around 'tools' and 'strapping', among other things. So I started with what I found here, and elaborated & got more detailed.
  9. I got my AP kit done in a few months of fairly devoted time. Bought it May 4th. Arrived a couple weeks later and began. Just got approved last week! I have a VERY comprehensive list of materials, etc, and where I bought everything (in Canuck bucks, too!). Send my a PM with your email, and I'll send you the .xls list!
  10. Thanks a lot! I appreciate all the feedback, and will have those suggestions implemented ASAP for Centurion!
  11. Thanks, Ty. The vent stripes and frown all took 3 attempts.......but I was happy with the final result.
  12. Thanks, Snaps. I had that ab/kidney strapping on my 'optional' to-do list........but since you mentioned it, I'll bump up the priority on that one!

  14. Here's my latest update. As mentioned above, I am officially a 501st Member! Next step......EIB, then Centurion. Since last time, I've completed: Updated TD Clips with proper gauge aluminum and screws. Hovi Tips received from Keith – thank you Shoulder Straps glued and elastic added. Doopeydoo's Blaster build (from Trooperbay) in progress..... Echo Fan system soon to be ordered........very soon. White undershirt stitching painted black. For consideration/comments: Do my shoulder bells overlap biceps too much? Is the thigh coverstrip too long? I have conflicting advice on this....... Butt plate doesn't conform well to butt......I AM REQUESTING ADVICE ON HOW TO FIX (ex. bend/shape the top more to my butt?) Keith's Hovi Tips added. Upgraded (DIY) TD Clips....... ......with proper screws. And finally, some of my submission photos.... These next 2 pics show how my butt plate has what my wife calls a 'diaper look'.......I was given advice to loosen my belt, but my kidney plate was not the problem. Not sure what to do first to try to fix and I don't want to start heating and bending it if I don't have to. So advice is requested! Anyways, a few more days, and my blaster should be done. Then the EIB application will be sent.
  15. After finally gaining access back to the website, TK-74614 is reporting for duty! I'll post updated pics in a bit.
  16. Requesting access. TK 74614. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=19389
  17. Submitted my application within the past hour, and just got word from my GML that I'm unofficially approved! Awaiting TK ID!! Whew hoo!!
  18. I know there's a few obvious things that you'll probably notice, but I want to hear what you think. These are not my submission photos, just some 'fully suited' pics.
  19. Here's my latest update. I still need to now complete the following: · add hovi tips (order placed with Keith) · add Echo's fan system · do final fit & trim of bite points · glue ABS shoulder straps · take photos & apply · order/build E-11 blaster The helmet has been completed, more or less.......black trim has been cleaned up & thinned, and vent stripes added. My concern over the thighs is no longer......I think they turned out okay. Except my LH coverstrip sometimes catches a bit on the sniper plate. I do have a new concern......and that's the stainless steel TD clips I made. The store didn't have aluminum, and just wondered if the Stainless Steel is acceptable. I will also say that my end caps were over-sanded which increases the gap between them and the 'control panel'......however I still meet the overall 7.5" length, and I wondered if that will be acceptable. Not sure what I can do if it's not........ And finally........my sniper plate.......my AP sniper plate. I think I got it quite level, but the ridges took one for the team, so to speak. Now that it's glued, I didn't want to try to re-heat it and straighten it before getting some feedback from all of you. Should I leave it, or risk making it look better by trying to fix it? I like to think of it as 'character'....... Feedback's appreciated!
  20. I finally found a welders shield from Acklands Grainger.......not sure if you have them in the states, but it's an industrial/welding supply store.
  21. Just the tube vents to go, and maybe some re-doing of the black trim......was pretty shaky! Also, does that rank stripe look to thick?
  22. And some recent ones..... And a garter belt from Pencap510! Thanks!
  23. Ooooops........need some advice on this one.....
  24. Inner Drop boxes assembled and elastics for biceps in progress..... Bicep hooks in place.....
  25. Additional build pics...... Thank god (well, Trooperbay, anyways) for templates!
