  1. Hi guys, thanks for the response! As for the bicep armor, I think your comment about return edges is spot on, some rather nasty return edges around the natural 'ridge' of the bicep, as seen in the attached image. As for the right forearm (the ill fitting one) that doesn't seem to be the issue. It goes on, but really binds up and doesn't go as high as the right. https://imgur.com/a/5Vtw65z
  2. Firstly, hello! I haven't signed onto the forums for a long time, and my unfinished TK from the late, great ATA has been gathering dust. I've decided to dip my toes back in and see whats-what and what needs adjusting, and that brings us to the question at hand today. I've noticed one of my biceps and forearms is incredibly tight, to the point where it severely limits mobility when used in tandem. Is this a common issue, and if so, whats the typical solution? A wider cover strip, or just live with the bulging and limited movement? I know nobody ever said TK armor was comfortable, but I don't want it pinching me if I can do so and still go for EI someday. Any suggestions are helpful, and thank you for having me back. o7
  3. Oh, my appologies XD I misread. I do look forward to see how the look does or doesn't chsnge in the new movies.
  4. Honestly, I don't see what the ANOVOS hype is. It doesn't look any better than any other vendors, if not worse. I just don't put much stock in mass produced stuff.
  5. That's just what I've heard through the grapevine. I was just saying IF it's true, who would everyone turn to?
  6. So if Karin isn't making hand plates anymore, where can one obtain quality white rubber ones?
  7. I agree that it looks wonky, but it's really only an issue if it bothers you personally. If nothing else, as someone said above, it'll be a clear tell for ANOVOS. I am worried this will cause a stir with some people though.
  8. Placed an order for a 4 oz holster from Darman just last night.
  9. Howdy all, I'm currently in the process of putting together an ANH TK, and I'm looking for an A1 e-11 holster. So, who's the best quality out there? Not necessarily looking for cheap, but best value for my money. <br><br> Any help is appreciated!
  10. Indeed! And even though I can't seem to make pictures work anymore, there has been progress! I will try and post a link to my garrison build thread, which will be updated again soon!
  11. So I just realized that these pictures are messed up, but they seem to work fine on my garrison forum? Is there a way to fix them?
  12. About time for an update, right? Jason finished up my lovely helmet, and we are almost done! Just a few more bits and pieces into the armor is finished. Then soft parts! Armor is nearly done now!<br><br><a class="bbc_url" href="http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/Twitchy_Brinkley/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_2.jpg.html"><imgsrc="http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb465/Twitchy_Brinkley/Mobile%20Uploads/image_2.jpg" alt="image_2.jpg"></a> and more pictures!<br><br><a class="bbc_url" href="http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/Twitchy_Brinkley/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_3.jpg.html"><img src="http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb465/Twitchy_Brinkley/Mobile%20Uploads/image_3.jpg" alt="image_3.jpg"></a><br><br> Rank bars!<br><br><a class="bbc_url" href="http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/Twitchy_Brinkley/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_4.jpg.html"><imgsrc="http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb465/Twitchy_Brinkley/Mobile%20Uploads/image_4.jpg" alt="image_4.jpg"></a><br><br><a class="bbc_url" href="http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/Twitchy_Brinkley/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_1.jpg.html"><img src="http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb465/Twitchy_Brinkley/Mobile%20Uploads/image_1.jpg" alt="image_1.jpg"></a><br><br> This is the home stretch! Just a matter of time now.
  13. Nice catch, but yes, unfortunately. This is right after the deconstruction, and we plan to fix that.
  14. Alright, thanks for the information, guys. That was just my curiosity in the middle of the night.
  15. I'm curious as to what, if any, difference there is between the Heavy Weapons Trooper and the Sandtrooper? I understand that one requires heavy weathering and the other not, but is there any other difference, or is the Sandtrooper essentially a HWT who's just been stuck in the desert?
  16. Oh course. TK, not TD. It was originally a TD kit.
  17. Whew, pretty whirlwind day today! Got a good many things worked on today. Got my ABS handguards done: Got the non-sniper leg worked one, too. Sanded lots of miscellaneous edges, smooth and otherwise. Got a little work done on the arms. Can't forget the arms! Few pics of me and the helmet/armor. Mic tips off:
  18. Thanks guys! I'm really excited about this!
  19. So, I already posted this in my Garrison forum, but I realized that I need to post it here, too. I pretty much owe everything to Jason (CantinaSecurity) at this point. So, you all recall that I was expecting to wait months for an ATA kit, but Jason being the super soldier that he is snagged a really nice ATA kit almost brand new. Now, it was originally set up for a TD, so there are some changes that need to be made, of course, but me and Jason are gonna work on it (well, I'll do my best) and Jason has already begun sorting some things out, like working out the best way to do the knee plate. Jason has already made my dropboxes, outer and inner: Smooth, right? Of course we have shoulder straps and ab buttons: And he removed the S trim, washed it out, stretched it a bit, and put it back on, under the seem, a bit farther under the vocator. As Jason told me, its a lot less noticable. And I couldn't resist posting this last one. Just lookit that helmet! I gotta give all the credit to Jason at this point, he's the best.
