Félicitations ! Beau costume
I would thin the drop boxes a bit too, they're a bit thick. Mine were too (AP !). Not that it can stop from being Centurion, but it looks a lot nicer

Thanks guys ! And of course thanks Steve The FISD forum is a great and active community. I read and used other forums but here there is always somebody to help and encourage other members. I got help from a lot of people during my quest to accuracy, and I want to thank them all too. It was a great adventure, filled with fear, excitement and joy.
@Steve :
For the holster, I need to buy one for my daughter, so I will give this one to her and buy another one more accurate. It will be the same with the blaster, once I complete the "real" one with electronics. There will be weathering on it, it looks a lot better than a brand new gun For the side shims, it is not very complicated to do, the only tricky part is to sand correctly, and it's not that hard, it's just necessary to have the right sandpaper. Future TKs must not be frightened to do that, it looks soooo much better than to just glue an ABS piece ! If I was able to do it, everybody here can do it.

Congratulations !

Your costume is nice and you had a good opportunity to wear it at the comiccon !Here are some advices to get it better :- Try to get your shoulder symetrical, left is too far apart and right is too close to the chest. Contact me for some advice.- Put foam in you left thigh, on the left side of the thigh. It should help to position it correctly.

Thanks guys !
Yeah I love these opening drop boxes, they're so useful to store all sorts of ... Well I won't lie, you can't store anything in these. But they are so cool

Ok, I found the problem with John, it's because I only used 6v (4x AA). I wasn't able to use the 2nd battery block. So I used a 9v battery and it looks fine.
Yeah I used your speakers, but it was the same with all the speakers I used.

Well, since I'm now EIB, it's time for Centurion
My EIB request (with pictures) is here : http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31454-tk-42178-requesting-anh-stunt-build-eib-status-ap463/
What I did after that :
- I corrected the charging handle behind the ejection port. I broke it (it was too well glued) and reversed it, reinforcing it with a small metal rod and glue.
- I installed the inverted male snap on the ab (right side).
- I glued the rubber handguards.
So in theory I have all required parts for Centurion.
What I didn't do after EIB :
- I didn't change the screws on the TD : I tried to find good screws but they seem impossible to find in my area.
- The rear sight on the blaster is still a bit high : I tried to remove it to try to lower it and I wasn't able. The only option is to cut it with a grinder and reglue it, but I fear that I will just damage the blaster doing it.
- I didn't remove the second rivet on the blaster retaining strap : I'm not sure which one to remove, and I don't like the idea to have a hole in my holster.
Do these 3 points can stop me to be Centurion ?

I got my RomFX ! I also got the PTT, and it works great :-) But the problem comes from the RomFX itself... It doesn't work well. When I turn it on it just makes a small static sound, and when I use it the sound is really really low when the volume is at max. When I push buttons it doesn't seem to so anything. The batteries are new ...
Does someone have an idea ?

We went to a little event last friday, we were 3 TK and 1 officer. TWe were not alone : a lot of medieval soldiers were there too !
I'm definitively not good at selfies ...
A little break, just enough to eat a couple of sandwich with no crust :
A glorious pose :
A stormtrooper's day is never easy ...

Woo hoo thanks guys !
You can call me Alex only if I can call you Steve
For the mentionned points :
- My Centurion helmet has the rank bar on the third bump from the left, so it should be ok. I'll change it on this helmet too when I'll find some time.
- The blaster came from a guy referred by Mark from AP. I don't know how he built it, I only bought it while waiting to finish my "real" blaster (which will take a long time !). I don't know how the parts are glued, and if it is easy to correct the problems. Will I be able to be Centurion with this blaster or will I have to wait for my other blaster to be finished ? What is scalloping ?
- I already have the small white elastics for the shoulder bridges, I just didn't think to take a picture of them with the interior strapping, sorry.
- If I remove one of the 2 rivets on the holster it will leave a hole, is it a problem for Centurion ? Is it mandatory to remove it ? I'm more bothered by a hole in it than having 2 rivets. Maybe I'll just change it someday for another one, and give this one to my daughter.
- For my Centurion approbation I will (of course) take again all of the pictures.
Thanks again !

What are these new screws ? I thought these were correct.

Hi Laval! Instead of paint, I used a product called Plasti-Dip for mine, and have been very pleased with it. It is a black rubberized coating that comes in a spray can, and pretty easy to use. (Available at Lowe's in the spray paint section). I personally like it, as it sort of masks the white of the inside, and seems to make it a bit more difficult for people to see inside your bucket. If you have already installed your lenses and frown screen, just be sure to mask them off well. If not, it is a bit easier. Also, whether you decide to use paint or Plasti-Dip, make certain you give the inside a good sanding, clean it well after, and use a primer. (Krylon makes one just for plastic). Hope this helps!
Laval is his home city, not his name
I painted one of my helmets in satin black (with spray paint), and it's FANTASTIC !!! Just do it before cutting and build it.
During the building (yeah, lots of ABS dust, I know !) :

Shopping for some comics ...
We found one of the 2 droids ! :
My daughter was really happy to see this guy ! My son was not.
Wait ... Is it the good droid we're looking for ? No, it's a trap !

Ishhhhh ... A bit short for the comiccon but not impossible, depending on your free time and how much clamps / magnets you have :-)
-
Welcome aboard !
The only problem with the Anovos kit is it can take a lot of time before you get it, no date is announced for the shipping ... If you're very patient it's not a problem though
Like already said you can look for a kid's armor, it can probably fit you and they look great !

Welcome back :-)
