Well I think I'll do the same next week at the event ! I really need to see armor up close "in action" to see how all the parts fit together.

Bah, even if his Jawa costume is a bit short after a couple of years it not that bad
My daughter is not really into Star Wars, and I totally respect that. But her little brother is a real fan, and I think he knows the newer stuff better than me ! I'm more of an old school type ...
But but but !!! After seeing me read all these new forums and heard all my talking about that, my girlfriend is currently looking for a Star Wars costume She wanted to find a costume but didn't know in which direction go. She wants a costume easily recognizable without a helmet, or with a helmet but easily recognizable even without it. For example, the Imperial Guard might not be good, because without the helmet it's not easy to tell which costume she has on (for non Star Wars fans). Hmmm... So 2 Stormtroopers in the house ?

You're completely right about peeing ... A 2 piece then ! I'll go check sports section at Wal-Mart.
Hmmm ... Maybe if I used shamwow under my suit I wouldn't have to pee at the toilet

- Undersuit Everlast Sport Performance 2 piece suit at Wal-Mart
- Mic tips : bought from keith
- Belt : bought from TKittell
- Blaster : Not sure what to get ...
I'll also need :
- Velcro : industrial white from RONA

- What else ?

Woo hoo, another one from the Montreal region, I didn't see your thread before, don't know why. We will surely meet someday

I reserved my AP kit (all trimmed), I'll go get it when the trimming is done. No shipping needed, 30 minutes of car, that's all Mark is great indeed, he took time to answer all my questions. And I'll surely make my "Please help me !!!" thread just after getting it
I continue to read all I can, and I'll too go to some events to learn what I can, the next is next week near home.
I'm really excited
So I'll have the helmet, the armor, the gloves, the holster. I will next need the neck seal, the under suit, the boots and the blaster.

@Shane : Yeah, I would love to go to Comic Con next year as a Trooper ! I'm discussing with Mark right now, it seems I'll take it from him ... 5'11" / 180-185lb, it seems I will fit in it with some adjustments.

Oh, and thanks for the welcome !

@Tolo : Thanks, I'll talk to you soon, I have some questions to ask you.
@karina13 : How do you manage the growth of your boys with the costumes ? My son will turn 11 soon, I expect him to grow tall pretty fast ... I fear that the costume becomes too short too soon ... It can cost a lot if I have to change it a couple of times. I also have a daughter, but she's more interested by manga cosplay, sadly ;-)

I think the ATA seems interesting for a first costume ... It is more affordable than some others and if I screw up it will hurt less Still checking and reading though.

Well ... North shore of Montreal
I went to Montreal Comiccon with my son this week-end, saw the 501st booth, and I decided it was the time to make the move after all these years of waiting ...
I WANT TO BE A STORMTROOPER !!!
I'm beginning to read on the subject, I subscribed to the local forum (still awaiting forum approval). I will surely have some questions. I'm still not sure to understand well all the available models, and where to shop ... I understand that I shouldn't go near anything named Rubies and jedi-robe, but I'm not sure for the rest ... If I have help for instructions I'm habitually able to do relatively good manual jobs like that (and it's part of the fun !).
Oh, and my son REALLY wants to be a Jawa, so 2 projects at the same time
Bonjour groupe ! Y a-t-il d'autres francophones ici ?
Please help me ! AP Armor Build

Nylon webbing I will use. But where do you buy the nylon ? And where to shop for snaps ? Is it findable locally or do I have to buy over the net ?
