  1. Posted on the other one lol:

Sounds like it's time to establish your very own outpost! Some have only one member, so you'd be on a recon and recruitment mission once you're admitted. RS props is about the nicest base you could ask for if I'm not mistaken. Be sure to sign up on mepd.net with the sandies, but we all start shiny. Have fun and good luck

But I see you'll have some friends after all! Even better!

  2. The efx ANH stunt helmets have the symmetry, grey frown, and no ear screws that you're looking for. It's face is a mirrored left side of the stunt face as you wear it. The ears are thick but lots of threads show how to fix that. I'd go that route if you don't hate the overall aesthetics of it. I bought one and put grey bubble lenses (easy swap, 3 screws each lens) and changed the frown to look more hero-ic and its my idealized display lid. You'll love a screen accurate one once you get your hands on one! Welcome and good luck

  3. That honestly might have to change once someone compares them to the real deal. After I finish modding and painting mine (shouldn't be too long) we'll be able to see exactly where they had to make consessions to fit the electronics. I can tell the front sight, magazine and end cap and pipe are small, for example. It's really not a Hasbro derivative as far as the design goes.

Level one is just any old Sterling "replica". EIB requires you to drill the missing open row of barrel holes and have all the parts but you can rock a doopy mod. Centurion needs a more accurate replica though, no hasbros

  4. Quick question Charles. Did you order a bucket AND a full kit (including another bucket) from ATA? Or is it that you can only get the armor with a bucket?

I think he sells from full sets all the way down to the individual pieces (replacements), with a small discount if you get everything. I got a single ATA stunt full DIY kit (2nd is Anovos) but my armor still hasn't come (takes however long it takes!) You'd just be getting (and paying for) the helmet kit for now and get on the waiting list for your armor kit. (At least that's what he told me like last June or so. Shoot him an email if you want current specifics)

  5. Hey Tcromb: ATA helmets are usually no wait and relatively inexpensive with the full DIY kit. I got my lid last year and I'm towards the top of the list for armor now, owing about the same as Anovos with shipping since you only pay ATA when your stuff ships. That means I'm getting two full sets plus another bucket and soft goods for around $750 out of pocket this year. Just saying there are ways to stretch out the immense intro cost😜

  6. I was able to fit my big head into an eFX lid with a moto helmet liner AND a size large respirator. I doubt it'll fit in my ATA only cause they're smaller. I bet a small head and a small respirator could fit. I'm gonna hook up the in-valves to the mic tips and let the out go into the helmet (if I can fit my echo fan bracket in too!)

The ear vent idea makes sense considering almost everyone has SOME gap. The vents could be like gills in the face/cap, hidden by the ears
