Yup! Another Anovos build.
Not sure how much detail I'll get into on this one. I've done this a couple of times so I'm pretty confident going in. This kit is for my Fiancé and I plan to go straight for Expert Infantry. I'll post a side by side helmet shot w my MTK bucket. Haven't seen one on those yet. Anywhoo...
Obligatory BBB Day photo in the elevator...
Shenanigans (I sent her this pic when it arrived)...
Dam thing barely fit in my car!
Based off other photos seen so far, I'm definitely going to tear apart the belt and redo w correct number of Chicago screws and a TKittle belt. Probably take off all the oversprayed paint and decals from the bucket for correct hand painting. Definitely going to tear out everything from inside the bucket and redo that. Tossing all the Velcro and going with elastic and snaps for everything.
More to come!

Thanks Todd, I'll contact you via email.
Also, thanks Clint for the tip. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to FB, so that creates its own problems as well, as I'm sure I'm not the only one. I will see what I can do about that.
I hear ya on that! I only have a FB account because of my garrison/squad communication on it.
-
Look for your garrison/squad on FB. In addition to forums, we communicate there about troops and armor parties. We even have a group set up for the recruits that are building/waiting so they can be involved. Good luck!

- I do not necessarily plan on going for EIB or Centurion level acceptance, but will keep the criteria in mind and attempt to build to the best standard I can.
Looking forward to the build. I'd reconsider this tho... the small details to go from basic approval to Expert Infantry are very minimal. Just a suggestion however...

I was actually thinking about black plastidip as well.

Give the helmet interior a rough sanding and wipe down before plasti-dip to give something to hold on to. otherwise, the plasti-dip could peel up over time from a smooth surface. Looking forward to progress pics!

Just keep asking questions bud. We're here to help!

Saw it 3 times. It did what it was supposed to do, entertain. I'm not going to pick it apart. Only one thing I would have changed, but otherwise completely satisfied with it and can't wait for more.

Once you have the one rivet joining the cap and back, add a second one in the valley of the cheek tube where it will be covered by the ear cover. This will prevent the helmet from shifting and creaking.

Be careful with hot glue, too much or too hot will distort the plastic.
Agreed, however the really little craft glue guns from Walmart don't really get that hot and use the small glue sticks. Definitely don't use a big industrial hot glue gun. A tube of silicon glue could work as well.

I've heard this is a crappy computer w Star Wars plastered all over it.

Don't go to Best Buy.
Trust me, I'd rather not, but their financing is actually decent.

I'm a Mac, not a PC... but I need to get a laptop for our teenager for Christmas and I'm not familiar with what's out there. It will be used primarily for homework, streaming movies and music, digital art, photography and general web browsing. Any suggestions or places to start would be helpful. I don't want to walk into Best Buy and ask because they'll try to sell me something expensive that we don't need. Features like touch screens or other "bling" could be cool, but not necessary. Will also be getting her a Wacom tablet to go with it.
Thanks Tech Troopers!!

I ran hot glue along all the inside seams then did the "cheese cloth and plastic-dip" coating all on the interior. It really firmed everything up, added some heft to the entire bucket, looks really cool, and eliminated all creaking.
-
Clint, would you be able to get a SLD edition banner by this week? If not I can just use the standard banner.
Might need to use the standard one. I've been busy at work and now planning a wedding. I could do it over the weekend but I didn't see when you planned to release this issue.

Good idea to start this thread! I have a question, not sure if I missed it anywhere, but we build the kits right? So I assume that the TD comes in pieces and then we put it together the correct way, not the way Anovos shows us. Right?
nevermind... didn't see that
Jinx! I mean RADARC's ANOVOS build
in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
