  1. My armour is from TK Armour UK and has a definite blue tinge to it. Some HIPS I bought to 'patch up' is a creamy white. All the paints I've used so far also have that creamy tint. This is a problem because I've made a replacement chest piece and can not find a suitable 'blue white' paint for it. Mixing my own shouldn't be to big a problem but I like the sound of my own voice
  2. Hi Glen! Great, that's exactly the sort of advice I'm after. I'll start my own build thread shortly meanwhile the eyes will keep me busy... Cheers!
  3. Hi y'all! So my new helmet arrived this morning! This is the first bit of kit for me and it all looks very exciting. Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at RS!!! I need a little advice from you guys on the construction please. It's all nicely trimmed and riveted and screwed in place. Are there any hints & tips I should be aware of before I get carried away? My main questions so far are: Is there a way to cover the nuts and bolts insite the helmet so I don't scratch my face off every time I put it on? Exactly how should I go about cutting and sticking the lense film? *** Should I paint the details onto the helmet or are there transfers available? *** That should keep you busy while I sit here trying to figure out how to drink my cup of tea while wearing my awesom new Stormtrooper helmet!
  4. This is my very first step into owning a Stormtrooper costume/suit/armour/uniform. This website is very informative thanks! But here's my specifics: Average height, pot belly, shortish legs!!! Live in the UK. Budget for uniform including helmet no more than GBP £800 (is that reasonable?) I wand as cheap a suit as I can whilst passing muster for joining fellow stormtroopers in whatever regiment I go for. Any advice would be great as to what passes muster etc. I have no previous experience with these plastics so 'joining' 'butting' and 'trimming' would have to be fairly basic. Is it possible to build up a suit bit by bit maybe sourcing various parts from several manufacturers? Are there trade secrets like a cheap make of gloves or boots etc? What about getting it all ready made like at this site: https://www.originalstormtrooper.com/ I'm going to concentrate on extras such as a blaster later but for now I'm itching to get my hands on an entry level costume!
