Strange... That’s pretty uncommon for a garrisons website. Unfortunately, you’re not going to find ‘local’ sections for each garrison on the detachment websites. I think you’re best bet would be PM’ing Neon City garrison members here to help you track down the Neon City CO or webmaster. Good luck!
or you could just go here... http://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php#garrisons

Yes.. Neon City will be your garrison, and while there may be folks that live near you who can help, you'll most likely spend most of your time learning here at FISD. Scour these forums and read as many build threads as you can!!

Welcome to FISD, Rob! You'll need to contact your local garrison for help with your build, and to sign up as a spotter on upcoming troops. Ask about 'armor parties'.. Not all garrisons have them regularly, but its worth a shot. Good luck and have fun!

Sorry, but not even close.. Especially if you're thinking about EIB or centurion. I don't think these would pass for basic approval either.. Although, I could be wrong. Even if you painted the elastic part white, the toe looks way too pointy and curves upward like a cowboy boot. The black sole is also way too thin. The stitched seams at the heel and across the top are not allowed either. These are not the boots you're looking for.. move along, move along.

The bottom two links you posted are the only ones worth looking at. MTK is Mike of Trooperbay.com, and CAP TK is 'Scootch' here on the boards (if I'm not mistaken?). Both are reputable sellers of accurate 501st approvable armor. They represent the .5% of good stormtrooper armor on ebay. The other three links you posted are the other 99.5%, the stuff you want to stay FAR away from. They are either bad FX recasts, or sellers posting images of something other than what would actually get. Like the 3rd link, for example. The default photo shows a Master Replicas helmet while the rest of the images show a completely different, VERY inaccurate 3-piece helmet kit. Major regrets if you were to buy one of those. Glad you found the FISD before that happened! So, MTK or CAP would be good purchases. You can email Mike or Scootch directly here on the boards. Good luck cadet!

Read, read, read, reasearch, research, research! That's about half of this hobby.
Here's the thread to start with... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/- 1

HIPS = matte white plastic, need to spray paint gloss white.
ABS = gloss plastic, No painting, just polish. -
The face should be pulled as close to the forehead of the cap as possible so there is no gap. Put the rubber brow-trim on the cap, then use clamps to keep the face nice and tight up against the cap while you drill the side holes. Trim the opening up to the mold line. You may have to do a little more trimming where the opening meets the bottom of the ears in order to get the S-trim to stay secure.

The Flagship Eclipse: Expanded Universe detachment is where you’ll find the right folks with info on Nightsisters... and Mara Jade.

This is SO awesome!
Has anyone made the “droid we’re looking for†joke yet?... -
ATA here! Check the links in my signature.

Looks great! Glad to have more stormies in the CCG! Looking forward to trooping with you!

My entire ATA set-up came in at just under $1400. Not including the armor crate and tools (dremel kit, clamps, magnets, paint brushes, knives/scissors, sand paper, etc.) All-in-all, it was closer to $1600 from start to finish. Some prices are approximate. I splurged on a few items like the indestructible blaster, rigid leather holster, & Echo's awesome fan kit, where I could have gone with something less expensive. But some things are SO worth the extra money!

Niiice!! That's a great looking set of armor! Who is the maker?

Awesome job! Welcome to the Centurion ranks!
Thanks Steve!!

Trooperbay.com for sure. 'Dave M' ANH decals are what you're looking for. Super easy to apply, and look great! They emulate the hand-painted look. Make sure you watch the tutorial video on how to apply them. If your build goes anything like mine did, you'll be visiting trooperbay.com often!

Thanks so much, Steve! ..and thank you for the kind words! This has been one of the most fun, challenging, and rewarding hobbies I’ve ever taken on.
I do plan on doing a little bit more silver paint weathering to my E-11 as time goes on. I was able to squeeze the TD clips in a bit for a more snug fit. Much better now! I will definitely get some white paint on those bracket screws at the back/kidney.Thanks again Steve! Feells good to be Centurion!

No return edge at wrists

Greetings Jim! Welcome to FISD. Yes! More CCG stormies! I’ll be glad to answer any questions you have on your TK journey! Have you signed up on the CCG forum yet? You should definitely stop by the Cloud City Garrison booth at Rose City Comic Con, Sept. 20th & 21st at the convention center! We’ll be doing 'Blast-A-Trooper’ (shooting nerf darts at troopers) for donations benefitting Make A Wish Oregon. Introduce yourself and feel free to ask a ton of questions. Hope you can make it!
