  1. While waiting for my armor from ATA I decided to pick up an extra bucket just to see how it all goes together. Spent a couple hours trimming it out and putting it together (except for the ears) and am pleased with it... for the most part. I've spent almost 3 hours total on the ears and have to say that I absolutely LOATH doing them. Anyway, I wanted to get some opinions on how things are looking up to this point. The right ear has the biggest gaps, so I'm only posting a pic of that. Thanks in advance! Brian
  2. I agree with Steve... never too many new blaster builds. You're doing some of the mods I plan to do when mine arrives, so I'm sure I can pick up a thing or 2. Thanks for sharing this! Brian
  3. Great progress, Thanks for the update. I ordered my DD kit and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. Keep updating as I'm looking forward to the end result! Brian
  4. I'll be getting a set of ATA too and will be watching and learning along with you on this one. The fix you did tuened out great! Brian
  5. Not sure the Cree LED will work with the board in your blaster, but I may be wrong. More info and specs on the board would be required to know for sure unless someone else has done it. You will definitely have to use a heat sink with that LED, and make sure there's 'breathing' room around it. Brian
  6. I bought one of Steve's magazines and am quite impressed with the quality. The difference is night and day when comparing it (pics) to the DD mag. I've worked with resin quite a bit so know what I'm getting into there (first thing I thought when you said you dumped it out all over your bed was "he's gonna have one heck of a mess to clean up" lol). Brian
  7. Wow, good progress for only a couple day's work. I'm waiting to hear back from DD, but hope to be ordering mine Monday. My plan was like your's... simply put it together, but after seeing what you accomplished in a short time I think I may have to go with plan B. Good job so far, keep the updates coming. Brian
  8. I'll be watching this as well, as I will soon be ordering a helmet myself. Can i ask how long it took to get it? Good luck! Brian
  9. Hope mine turns out that good. You did a great job! Brian
  10. His FB page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/That-Helmet-Guy/332969736717122?fref=ts) was posted in the thread. A link to his post there was also posted on his page, but as you can imagine, he deleted it pretty quickly. There was also a link to his Deviant Art page (http://ronime.deviantart.com/#/d5oxuea), but it became "unavailable" very soon after the truth came out there. He's also a member over at the RPF, but hasn't been very active there at all. Brian
  11. He posted on his original thread today trying to get it deleted. Apparently, my posting this here has stirred the pot again. Funny thing is, it was almost pushed off the first page... now it's right up there on top again. So maybe it was a mistake, but saying HE made it from PEP right from the get go, the very first post, claiming it as his own work, that's a whole other ballgame. They also seem to think that all is well now... yeah right! Brian
  12. Happy to help stop recasting any way I can. Brian
  13. I find this rather interesting. Same "prop maker" did the same thing with a bio helmet over at the lair, and offered up the same lame excuses as he has here. Then his wife came on explaining about Ron's "mental" issues, and was basically asking people to "excuse" him because of it. His first post was basically "look what I made/am making. It's an interesting read if anyone's interested... http://www.thehunterslair.com/topic/29409-predator-1-bio-mask-wip/ Brian
