  1. You can keep a return edge at the top of the forearm, but you need to remove absolutely all of the return edge at the wrist opening:
  2. Ah ok. In fact this picture isn't from me, this is "Clamps" from his EIB application. And yes, he indeed remove almost all of the bottom thigh ridges. This is perfectly fine and it will ease your walking if your on the short side of the height frame.
  3. I'm sorry, i don't see which picture you're referring to.
  4. You don't have to. It won't stop you from Centurion, but it'd be better, that's all. I was just mentionning it for you but also for future readers.
  5. Thighs look good on you, well done. And if you need to lean forward after putting them on, try to twist them outwards before . Just one piece of advice, your front cover stripes are a bit too long, they should end just before the bottom ridge: About the Snipper knee plate. When you position it on the shin making sure the ridges are lining up, it will look crooked. But once fully suited, it will become a lot less noticeable, as you can see here for example. Off course, you can soften the left hand ridge of the SKP to correct that but honestly, don't feel like you have to do it. Here's the spot i softened up, to be able to bring this side a little bit up:
  6. Seems like a mismatch. Biceps and shoulder bells aren't AP, but the rest look like it.
  7. They can be functionnal, they can be just for the show. Only the exterior aspect of the armor is covered by the CRL, what you decide to do inside is all up to you.
  8. Shins straps seem unseen indeed: But the shoulder straps are definitely sewn at the end: For the thighs, the strap is looped and sewn at the top and then glued directly to the thigh armor: Edit: The chest strap seems unsewn though:
  9. Can be. It's up to your preference.

  11. Sorry if it sounds harsh, but i would take your armor as the ultimate reference.
  12. Fiberglass of the poor: place a piece of an old tee-shirt behind the crack, then soak it with CA glue. The hairline crack will still be visible but it will be consolidated.
  13. I agree with you Greg but still i don't think that should disqualify the ANOVOS customers from the 501st approval. Yes the helmet isn't perfect, yet it is far accurate enough for the Legion.
  14. Or you can change your settings to be notified via the FISD feed rather than by mail to avoid too much spam. If you check the FISD regulary it should be a good alternative. Yes, i framed the wrong box for the "5."...
  15. Very nice set of pictures and armor. It always very exciting the first time you see yourself all suited up like that. Tune down that brass on your Hyperfirm's scope and you should be good to go for Centurion. It might not be compulsory but i think it will be suggested.
  16. Excellent work François! Way much better than your first prototype .
  17. The ammo belt is supposed to be riveted to the canvas belt, that should solve your problem of the ammo belt going unsnapped at the ends. But heatbending it would most likely also solve it. Bending the ammo belt isn't that difficult, a quick bath in boiling water will soften the ABS enough to bend it gently. About the greaves, you can add velcro, or snaps to keep them centered, but adding some padding inside them around the calves will also help a lot.
  18. That's right, writing the CRL for the vest might be difficult for now. But that's something to keep in mind because i'm sure of one thing, people will want to wear them!
  19. I just made that reseach don't worry! It is indeed extremely interesting. The fun thing is i've just spent a lot of time designing the stock for the E-11 with one of those picatinny rail right under my eyes, and i did'nt even made the connection... Shame on me!
  20. "picatinny"... What a wonderful word! I am learning everyday... Also Eric, i don't see it mentionned in the first post, but you may need to add a pragraph for the "Tactical Vest" in the optionals with the "Blaster", as we can see regular troopers wearing it. Blaster: "Must have the correct color scheme with the right parts painted in white, black, and metallic."
  21. 100% done? Hum... let's see it !
  22. Nice progress! And just for future readers, misalignement at the back of the shins is "normal" with AP. Don't be afraid to make few adjustments with some more trimming to even them if it bothers you. And for the crotch, you should use a split rivet with a 8mm head. The same kind you're using for the left side closure of the abdominal plate with the kidney.
  23. It's like AP christmas these days ! Very strong build, good job. I would add a clearer pic of your D-ring on your blaster before Steve reviews your application though. It is a requirement for EIB
  24. I'll leave the velcro masters answer that question. I haven't got any velcro on my armor so i'm not in the best position to give advices about this .
  25. . I think that's the explanation why this new handle is so chubby. Just like the Airsoft Sterling L2A3 has a chubby handle, this might be the case for this new E-11.
