hi can any one tell me when the film about the 501st HEART OF AN EMPIRE is due to be released,? i might be a bit slow on the uptake but all i can find is the trailer .

Armando is right about putting the lid way for a week or so,i know we all want to get these projects of ours done and dusted but sometimes time is our friend.

I found a UK contact for Krylon paint,(yes mate you can get it in the UK) i will PM hes details phone number etc.

 

My sandy lid was done by first using wet and dry paper all over ,even took off the ears so i didnt miss any area,then washed the dust off.

then just sprayed the lid with krylon gloss white.first coat you could not see,left for 30 seconds or so then just built it up with 4 layers with a gap of about 30-40 seconds.then i think i put the lid on the top shelf for about 8 days.

 

I was able to use wire wool on the lid to take the shine off areas as i was making a sandy then used pastal chalks,grey,sand,burnt umber,yellow,cream for the weathering.

 

It took all that with no chipping or flaking.

the helmet that im wearing just the chest plate with is not an MR CE that i know its a cool helmet slightly softer pull than my other helmet and also made from a thicker abs hence that is why it might not be as sharp as the other helmet , which you are right is an AP realy would love to get my hands on an TE2 .one day i hope.

hi i got all these of an auction sight 1 is an ap helmet and the other 3 i have no idea im afraid 1 of the stunt helmets is fibreglass and i want to change that into a sandtrooper bucket when i have time.1 is also a hero helmet that i have got to paint

hello FISD members ,this is my first post and would like to say that i have popped back and fourth to this forum many a time to look at the great work and advice that is posted . it only made sense to join up and learn and improve on my own armor ,hopefully to get clearance to join 501st and then try for elite status . will post some photos of my progress on my armor and wait for the feedback .
