  1. Glen, thanks for the quick answers! So in my photo, are A&B the left shin and C&D the right shin? I think it's the other way around, A&B right and C&D left, but check with WTK to be sure, I've not assembled a WTF kit as yet.

I did see the cricket build, but still wasn't sure about matching the halves. :duim:

So is the Sandtrooper sniper plate just an accidental inclusion in the kit? Some makers add Sandtrooper pieces to their kits so you could build either TK or TD

  2.

    1. I don’t have the undersuit yet (bottom). Will sizing with the boots on be adequate? Should be fine
    2. For strength, should there also be a cover strip on the inside of the front of the shins? I add one to my builds, just because of the constant opening and closing/ flex.
    3. There is this extra piece in the kit, does anyone know what it’s for (piece on the top)? Sniper plate SandtrooperXezNyZa.jpg
    4. Per what I said at the top, which half is which? Looks to be ok A&B C&D

I'm curious to know why mine says I'm not an FISD supporter. What does that mean? Or how can I correct that?

Only those that donate to web/hosting fundraising get a "supporter" graphic added to their profile, we haven't had a donation run for some years as we migrated over to the Legions web hosting.

Legion is currently doing a web/hosting run if you wish to support that https://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=113646, the legion issues this to your profile e5fGDz2.png, left is for web hosting right is for voting in the elections (they will only show on your legion profile).

Im printing the galactic armoury version but the jetpack is a pain, no holes for wiring as im adding a remote compressed air chamber for thrusters. I may have to make my own middle section in fusion 360 to create the perfect housing. once I finish the jetpack I will post images etc...

compressed air thruster will work by a servo and a remote fob trigger what i will be putting into the pistol.

jetpack bottom lights will turn on with the thruster to colour the smoke/air..

You may want to start a build thread here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/258-imperial-commando-build-threads/

I have bells and whistles for my mando jetpack, younglings love it when they can hear the jets and see colored smoke, it's worth the extra work for sure.

I use finger remote switches and relays to activate, similar to the one below, remote is very small without it's housing

  5. Posting a build thread is the best way to get feedback on how your build is progressing, at most times someone can chime in if you have questions or if they notice something odd with your build ;)

Here's the link to our gallery area

One other thing to look at is the various types of TK, with swapping out just a few pieces (and a helmet) you can transfor from ANH stunt to hero and also ESB, here is a sheet on the differences between them

And don't forget to follow the CRL's (costume reference library) base legion requirements and higher requirements Expert Infantry and Centurion, much easier to build from the get go if you wish to apply to those levels at a later stage.

This is probably a stupid question but i see people using "TK" everywhere. What does TK stand for?

A couple of threads on the subject

It can look daunting at first but if you've delve into RC or any plastic model kit building you will be just fine. There are plenty of great builds and people ready to lend a hand, we also have gallery areas full of references and sizing.

Many have DDD (AM) armor and are very happy with it.

Here's the pics of the finished blaster rifle! from 3D print, sanding/bondo/primer/black basecoat/dark aluminum airbrush / black airbrush and scratching/weathering. The few metallic parts are graphite finished. Only M38 scope is brass finished as original part wear out coloring.  I also took a picture with my current Sith trooper armor, while the other one is far from finished to give a feel of the size and handling.

Looks like some of your image links aren't working, I'm only seeing one image

  8. If I could suggest a couple of things you could tweak for EI, (or disregard, after all I'm no DO).

You could centralise your thighs at the knees, I had similar issues when using fabric gaskets, I finally ended up adding a stiffening piece of foam inside the gaskets which takes up the slack and keeps thighs and shins better aligned. Even a small block of foam on the outer sides of the thighs would pull them over.

You can see on the rear image how the thighs pull the fabric gaskets to the insides.

Not sure if you can reduce the circumference of your spats as there is an opening on the rear and you can see the grooves.

I know the DO's have mentioned wrinkling around the shorts on an EI application previously. Also you could adjust forearm to glove spacing to match.

I also noticed the angle of you posterior, front corners appear to be under the belt and pushing the belt upwards at the back

Do we know who the name ( Alan h ) refers to ? Presumably the stunt man that wore the helmet .

when SSSkunky got one of these helmets he managed to,identify the wearer from writing in the helmet .

    Perhaps Alan Harris

Alan Harris (born May 28, 1938 in Enfield, Middlesex, London, England; died January 25, 2020) was a British actor who played several roles in the Star Wars movies. Starting out as a model, Harris moved onto stage productions, and later motion pictures. For Star Wars, Harris' work was mainly behind the scenes; however, he has occasionally stepped in as an actor, notably portraying Bossk in The Empire Strikes Back. Harris has the rare distinction of appearing as different characters in all three films of the original Star Wars trilogy (as well as the first prequel, The Phantom Menace), as well as playing a Stormtrooper in all three films.
