  1. I ordered a few times about a month or so ago and I got them fours days after placing the order. I just ordered some basic supplies nothing that was customized. Hope that helps.
  2. I have looked at a number of pictures but either I have found contradictory pictures or they aren't clear enough to tell. If there are certain pictures that I should be looking at please let me know.
  3. .OK I think I've got it, but I have a couple more questions. 1. It says "A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate shall be present". Is there a an exact place for this and which direction should the snap face? What size snap? I have been using 5/8 snaps. 2. What size should the white elastic that connects the chest and back plates be? I have seen both 1 1/2 and 2 inch used. IS there one correct size? Thanks Again!
  4. And then I put a male snap on the inside of that rivet correct?
  5. I am at the point where I need to strap together all of the chest a back pieces and I am a little confused. I have six split rivets am I not not entirely sure where they go. I know some of them go the outside to help connect the kidney and ab plates but I would really like to get specifics as to where they should go. I have looked through the threads but I have been able to find the exact placements. Also what should I use to attach the ammo plate to my thigh? Any help would be appreciated! On a related note I learned last night about the blood, sweat and tears it takes to put together this armor. I had to drill out a rivet from my armor as I was making a snap plate, and one didn't catch the snap. While I was drilling the drill bit broke and drill somehow went off to the side and found my thumb. Nothing too serious but needless to say it will be a few days before I can use the thumb again. But like a good trooper I didn't any blood on my armor. I can't believe I did that! Not to sound mean but I hope I'm not the only one to do something like that.
  6. I'm in Red Wing. I went to the same store but I was told to get webbing instead of elastic and I couldn't find it. I almost got the elastic but I thought I would wait. I also looked at trooperbay and may be putting an order in soon. I finished my helmet a while ago which was a fun build. I used Pandatroopers thread and it went pretty well. It isn't perfect but for a first time build I think it turned out fine. Most people who have seen it liked it but compared to some I have seen on this sight it has a ways to go (no frills yet). I am hoping the rest of the armor gets here soon. I have been told that the kit will be done later this week. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out, I might be asking you some question too!
  7. Hey Jeremy looks like you're off to a good start. I have armor coming in soon myself and I am also from SE Minnesota. Where did you get your straps? I was out looking for supplies yesterday and came up empty.
  8. Good info so far keep it coming! I knew about the E6000 and I know where to get that. For the belt I am looking at Tkittel in the for sale section. As for the the rivets what types are needed most? I haven't heard of webbing what is it and how did you use it?
  9. Ok I have been waiting for months and now I have been told that it is almost ready and it should be shipped in the next week. I am excited but I also realize that now I need some help. I think I have an idea as to how get going through the tutorials but I still have some questions so that I can get started right away. My son wants me to have it ready so I can go out with him this halloween (he also wants a stormtrooper suit, he is only 4 so his will have to be store bought). I know I will most likely not be ready for 501st quite yet but I would like to go for it and EIB status. Again it is my hope. Anyways here are my questions: 1. I have read about using just velcro and the snap method for securing the armor. Which do you think is best? 2. When and where should I get a belt and boots from? I looked at tkboots for the boots, any thoughts? 3. What are some items that will be absolutely needed and sizes? I know I will need velcro, elastic, and various rivets just the number size and color would be helpful. I live in an area where it is sometimes hard to get items so the less trips I have to make the better. 4. Last question, do need to get extra abs plastic for the coverstrips, snap attatchments, etc.? If so where should I get it from, I haven't seen it anywhere and I have been looking. Thanks Again!
  10. Alright time to finish this. The latest is that we agreed have a new kit sent, but I received an email from ebay saying that they are refunding my money and is now pending. Thats good so that I am not out any money but it was not what we agreed to. needless to say I will not be getting a kit from doopy as I am done dealing with them. Too bad since it sounds like this is the exception not the rule. So, any advice as to somewhere else I could go to get an E-11 ANH? Right now I am thinking about the sci fire hyperfirm but thats a bit pricy for me right now.
  11. I got a response this morning and they said it got lost in shipping. They offered to send another or give me a refund, I chose for them to send me another but I also requested a ETA and a tracking number. I just wish I had it now, soon I won't have as much time to put it together. Oh well.
  12. I don't like it but I put in a "Report a Problem" with ebay as there was a little disclaimer at the bottom that said I had to do it by today. I knew it would take a while but this is a little ridiculous, especially when I have not gotten a response despite making a couple of attempts. I have never had a problem like this before.
  13. Thanks for the offer but I will find a way to make contact or I will have to cancel my order. It is just bumming me out right now.
  14. that is what it sounds like so I don't want to give them a negative if it is just a shipping problem, but if I never get a response I don't have a choice.
  15. I'd still like to get the doopys kit as it is more affordable than the hyperfirm is (I did think about getting one of these). I was just wondering if this is a common problem with them. I would hate to file a complaint against them but I also have to protect my own butt and I don't want to just lose my money.
  16. I did, I placed the order directly to the doopy doo store through their own ebay store. I did not order the blasters that I originally inquired about. instead I followed the advice I was given by almost everyone who responded to this post.
  17. Ok, I went through their ebay site and ordered the full kit. Now about 7 weeks later I still don't have the kit. I also have tried to contact their customer service both through ebay and their their own website and have gotten no response. Its only a couple of days past their estimated arrival time but, according to ebay, I need to file a complaint today. Just wondering if anyone else out there has had similar problems and what your opinions are about filing a complaint. Right now I am leaning towards doing it to protect myself.
  18. I see, and I like the idea. I just read read the crl but I didn't know we could actually make them them into vents. Thanks for the info.
  19. I used these templates by printing them out and then cutting out some tape. it was a little messy but it did the job. I wasn't able to get all of the stripes on so a settled for 11 as any more didn't look very good. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14867 As far as color I used this thread to help me. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=8117 I hope this helps!
  20. Thanks for the info about the shoes! I like the idea with the rear vents but I was wondering if that is ok for 501st requirements and how are you going to make sure it stays black and doesn't show your hair through the hole?
  21. I am waiting for my ata suit to come in but I have my helmet completed. I had to do the same thing with the blue stripes. I am glad to see that I am not the only one who had to do that. Where did you go for the shoes? That's the one thing that I am not sure where to get them. I am playing the waiting game for for just about everything else.
  22. thanks for all the advice about the blasters but that brings up another question. When it comes to building a doopy doos kit, is it better to get the full kit or do a pipe build with a doopy doos kit? I think I can make the pipe and the scope rail (I have seen some of the tutorials for these) but I am not big on making the details like the handle. I was also wondering where I could find the T-tracks that are needed for the barrel. Thanks again!
  23. I thought something looked different on that one too but I couldn't put my finger on it. Thanks
  24. I have thought about that but I think the cost would be close to the same as I would have to buy the parts and some of the tools which would cost quite a bit. I figure I could mod one of these if there was something I needed to change. I would like to qualify for EIB.
  25. I am new to this and I would like to get get a blaster that will go with my ANH Syunt armor that I am working on. I would also like to keep the pricetag low as I am building on a budget, so I think that means I need to stick with either a hasbro rebuild or a resin e-11. I have been looking at the droopydoos kits on ebay and I came across a couple of resin auctions that look good to me. Please let me know what you think about these two auctions or offer any other advice that you may have! I also will be looking for a holster soon, so any advice there would be welcome as well.
