Let's see the gaps in pics.
But as was mentioned. Gaps are screen accurate to ANH. I have gaps on mine that I have embraced in their wonky-ness. I actually am not a fan of the perfect flush ear.

Here is my icomm and aker I'm chest piece.
The magnets are gone after the glue dried on the elastic strap. The aker clips to that. Icomm is Velcro'd on as seen in my hand. I also have an old iPod shuffle(not shown) that velcro'd right next to icomm

Good for me now. Thx!

Eric, I am seeing this issue as well. When I browse forums, I am not seeing the topics. was just to lazy to complain about it yesterday.
Sometimes when i try to open up forums like 501st areas or even ongoing sales projects on tapatalk they open blank there are no threads shown

Ok so that is pretty cool!

Next thing you know you'll be blaming Saturday night partying for slowing you down.
Ps. Kidnap Keith and make him show up later .

Great job team!

Martin,
Welcome aboard future trooper! If you'd like to connect with more of your local troopers (Canadian Garrison - Forteresse Imperial) to help you along with your build and to build relationships with your future 2nd family, hit me up via PM and we can discuss.
Which armour did you order?

Wow Clamps, this looks good!!!
I need to get something like that!
But hiw did you connect it to your fan?
Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk
if you want to just connect it directly, you can purchase a connector that fits your battery (the RC store where I bought the battery sold me the male connector). Wire that to your fan and it is instant on when you connect the two. OR you can wire in a switch, again pretty straight forward. The complicate step is adding in the three way switch that allows full power or 5V step-down, that took a little finessing and help from a friend with more skill than I have. He gutted a car USB charger for the circuitry and voila 5V option. This way it is not over draining the battery using resistors.

PS: I have two batteries When it needs a charge in pop it out (Velcro) and plug in the small white connector to a charging unit.

Here it is. What you see is the 12v fan. Battery is about 3cell 1000mah 11.4v. It's wired Through a 3 position switch which allows for full battery power, off and a voltage regulator to step it down to 5v for those troops that don't require as much cooling of ventilation.

same for me. I can easily get 5 hours of fan in the same footprint as a single 9vI'm using a battery pack from remote control cars, nice and flat and lasts a lot longer than the 9v batteries

congrats on your 501st acceptance Scott! When is the first troop?

I would recommend you spend more time reading recent build threads for AP kits here on FISD. The methods and recommendations on that site are not in line with current build techniques.

AP lens material is not thick or dark enough… this is what I replaced with. http://trooperbay.com/dark-green-lens-material/
Mic tips with AP are not very accurate… I recommend they get replaced with either:
Keith's tips are great http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/4369-mic-tips-mic-tips-mic-tips/
Trooperbay sometimes carries good tips (not the "Mike" tips) that come from, I believe, Mark at CFO.

Congrats on your Centurion appointment trooper!

Congrats on your EIB trooper!

Hey Mark: Have you checked in with TK 25267 (chookaboom) yet. He hails from TO and is in touch with the whole Ontario crew. Get you hooked up with build parties and everything.
Welcome Aboard
Greg
Here I am….. Greetings Mark, there are certainly lots of troopers in Southern Ontario and more specifically, west of the GTA. If you would like, I can connect you with Canadian Garrison members that are in your general neck of the woods as well as all over Ontario. reach out to me via PM and I can talk you through it.

Keep up the great work, we'll be looking at another EIB/Centurion trooper in the GTA in no time!

Cheers and congrats Centurion!

updated to add "Strong National Museum of Play In Another Galaxy - Star Wars Weekend"

In Another Galaxy/Star Wars WeekendStrong National Museum of PlayRochester, New YorkNovember 17-18, 2013We had the honour and privilege of being invited by Garrison Excelsior to join them at the Strong National Museum of Play's "In Another Galaxy/Star Wars Weekend." This event draws a very large crowd over the weekend, bringing in DOUBLE the normal weekend attendance. It was estimated we had about 6,000 visitors to the museum. The Canadian Garrison brought a large contingent of troopers (of all types) as well as a few large props (Death Star backdrop, AT-ST and our Emperor's throne). We could not have been more happy with the hospitality of our brothers and sisters from New York! Here are a few fun photos, some in my TK and some in my Tusken...
