  1. Started gluing my sniper plate which was a little challenge. Only pic I have at the moment how does it look?
  2. Been pretty busy with life and such but I'm getting pretty close to being done shins and thighs are gluing right now. Had to order more abs since my tighs are a little large so I'm waiting on that. Sniper plate is next so we will see how that goes. Did some strapping needs work but till I get everything connected not much I can do till then.
  3. Well been working on my e-11 pretty heavy just a few tweaks left till its done. Also working on my arms pieces don't have magnets but tape and clamps are working pretty good as suggest. Also started with strapping the main body pretty cool to kinda start to see it come together finally. Aiming to finish this bad boy before vacation at the end of march since soon as I get back kansas city's largest Comicon will be going on.
  4. Armor building woes haha. Actually things are going good my daughter wanted to take a picture of me working.
  5. I glued the s trim on my bucket a couple days ago with e-6000 and today I tried it on and the whole thing about fell off. Seems the e-600 doesn't as adhere very well to the rubber . Any suggestions on attaching it? I used a generous amount of e-6000 by the way.
  6. Thanks for the advice everyone.
  7. Ya I used evercoat (which is way better than Bondo) the first time thats what that blue stuff is. Guess I can try again.
  8. Was working on putting the hex nuts in the front of my blaster when my drill caught and chipped a bunch of pieces off. I was able to reattach the pieces but now my hole is all caddywompbus(crooked). I am aiming for centurion will this effect it. I really don't want to do any more drilling after what happened.
  9. I pre cut my cover strips before I started making the armor not realizing that I'm a little on the large size haha. So I don't think I will have enough plastic for cover strips and snap plates. Is there a place I can buy abs the same color or do I contact the armor maker for more?
  10. Been kinda busy with work and the holidays and the list goes on. Sadly I am a little heavier than I want to be so I will be holding off on making certain parts till I drop some weight. I've been working on my blaster and its near completion. Re painted the blue ab button with the French blue. Attached should straps And put backs and nylon on ammo boxes
  11. Looks really amazing! Good work. That trick for the snap plates how does that work... heat?
  12. Looking really great bro glad I could help!
  13. Kinda stuck at the moment turns out I forgot to buy those high speed magnets. Are there any other methods of holding down the cover strips until my magnets come in? Also I'm having a hard time with my shins not wanting to close in the backs is heat bending something that will fix this
  14. After doing more research and seeing pictures it seems I can still get centurion. Thanks Paul your advice is always helpful. My hand guards came in last Saturday! Thanks Karin! Tkboots finally has boots my size! They come in Thursday this week so I'm going to wait to fit my shins till I get them. Question bottom of shins is there a return edge?
  15. I seen you can add shims but will that stop me from getting centurion? Also doesnt it look kinda bad?
  16. just started my thighs and ran into a little problem. I cut some of the excess off and taped it to see how much I needed to trim. Glad I didnt trim to much off since it is pretty tight. I trimmed as much of the return edge I could without it disappearing. I am about 5'7" and 195lbs so I could stand to loose a few pounds. The measurment on my thigh is around 25inches which I guess is a little large. The thigh fits sorta I cannot bend my leg much at all since it has to sit pretty low. So my question is there anything I can do to mod this and at the current width it is will I need to make my cover stripes bigger? I think the best answer to this issue is loose some weight but that also stops me from getting it done till I do. Here are a few pics. Not to show my butt off or anything but you can kinda see (not the best picture) how tight it is at the top. There isnt any gap at all. the top of the thigh is pretty snug as well.
  17. I've cut all the return edge off and I think it's the way I tapered it that is leaving to much near my elbow that's making it feel loose.
  18. Working on my right forearm and wondering if the amount of space is normal? I can see adding padding to make to snug but im afraid it will fall down my arm to far? Will the gloves and handguard be enough to keep it from slipping off?
  19. I had seen a photo somewhere that was debating which color it was the French blue and the midnight blue and the photos it seemed darker but from a distance it looks black so I do prefer the French blue better. Once it dries il'l go back over it. I hate painting haha.
  20. Finished the ab buttons Tried doing the vents but I think my paint brush was a little large plus I think I had to much coffee. I couldn't keep my hand steady. So I might paint over them to try again.
