  1. Awesome job! Thanks for giving me some inspiration to get mine done. LOVE the watch in the scope, Have often thought where I could hide a watch during troops. GENIUS!
  2. Hi Mathias, Seems I've been missed on my certificate request as there has been one done after mine. Should I resend or will you be able to take care of it as is? Thanks Mat
  3. Mate! as far as I'm concerned your attitude is at Centurion level! you have help so many people with your fantastic threads and speaking from experience you have put the confidence in many of us too scared to take that next step whether is be worried about doing a simple cut or right down to the gritty stuff where its "if this goes wrong I'm screwed" kind of stuff. I know that the sense of achievement we all face when we get these kits together and put on for the first time will always out shine any badge we may get for bragging rights. Like most people, once you start the race its hard not to get caught up in the rush. Having people like Mathias there are good for grounding us at these times. I think you have made the right decision. I know that if you are like me you would always keep bettering your armour even after getting that prized badge. Even if you had scrapped in I'm sure you would have gone the extra distance to get it right on paper and in your heart..... Gee I'm getting all soppy now hahaha.. better stop now or I'll ramble on all night.. Keep up the good work. you are a legend down here in NZ (the other Pacific Outpost) as far as I'm concerned.. Cheers Mat
  4. Congrats Clamps! I am blown away with your blaster. It looks amazing. I will use your pics as a guide to help me better mine now I love the touch of your TK id in the counter numbering too This Centurion stuff is addictive!!!
  5. Thanks Keith. One question I have is how you get to add the FISD kudos of being your countries first Centurion? I too am the first in my country (New Zealand) Any help is appreciated Cheers Mat
  6. Thanks for all your support guys. It is so good to have succeeded after months of preparation and hard work. Mat
  7. Thanks for all your support troops! it been a fun ride. Can't wait to dirty it up on the battlefield! Mat
  8. Cheers mate. yeah it sure was. So glad I didn't have much to change. The blaster build was actually fun. I now want to fine tune that even more.. Thanks for your support. Mat
  9. Thanks man! I was so excited to be so close after so sooo long working on it I had to nail it bang on. I'm going to keep working on my blaster now to get it as screen accurate as I can. That milling with the dremel was addictive. I wanted to start boring into everything!! I think that section where the folding stock is could have some work done to it too. Do you know if those small fill in sections between the three rods that stick out of the counter box are supposed to be like that or are they there for support during casting? In talking about the rods where the RED wires go into in my blaster pics above in this thread... Thanks for your support along the way! Mat
  10. All good now thanks! I noticed that the EIB page is down with an ERROR 200 note... was not sure where to find ADMINISTRATION to tell anyone but I see you are one so here you go...
  11. Hi, I've gone in to update my profile page and 'about me' info page and when I go to save I get this message in a blue band across the top of the screen: 501st ID: The data you entered is not in the correct format My 501st ID was already loaded and saved long ago and I had not touched this field at all during the changes. I tried changing the 501st number by deleting and retyping it but no luck Any help appreciated. Mat
  12. Thanks and especially for the finer detail help. I plan to keep bettering things as I get clear and precise CORRECT info. Have a good day up there! Cheers Mat
  13. Thanks dude! you've got yourself to blame for it! after all it was your thread that guided me through the nasties... I can't believe it has taken me close to 6 months to get this done. I even purchased all my elastic and velcro from the USA to get exactly what everyone seems to use. You can't get industrial strength stuff in NZ and any shipping from the USA is pure evil no thanks to the Flat Rate system you guys use. I don't need to tell you that though huh? They consider Hawaii outside the USA too lol! Mat
  14. Hi Mathias, I have adjusted the height of the belt now. EDIT - I just fixed the image so the mirror was flipped to make the orientation correct on the AB plate. Didn't want any confusion!!! Sorry about the photo self portrait. My wife is over taking photos of me now! lol! Thanks Mat
  15. how is this for funky? carefully removed with great difficulty and dremelled with a special boring tip: sanded and glued back onto the blaster: excuse the paint looking shiny. It is still wet in the photo (couldn't wait!!!) I added some more detail while I had it back in the workshop... I saw these on many blaster when I was looking for images of the sight... drilling the counter box holes was a time consuming event. I started with a tiny drill size and worked my way up to a size that would fit the stripped wires. I trimmed some of the outer casing off the other end by whittling it down like a stick. It made it much easier to poke into the holes with a dab of glue. This is my test fit before gluing and painting: Mat
  16. Never mind! DOH! I'm thinking 'scope' when you are saying 'sight' (I guess that's what lack of sleep does to you!
  17. Hey Tyler, Thanks man! Can you please clarify what you mean about cutting the sides out? I don't understand sorry Cheers Mat
  18. Ok brothers! I have had a marathon night with 4 hours sleep and some serious ES (Empire stuff) on the agenda! I have purchased, painted and replaced the helmet screws with flat head ones: I have worked non stop on putting together my Droopy Doo resin kit I had purchased but decided to run with that other (now realised) piece of junk instead. I primed and then painted silver / Gold (scope only) the blaster then did the top flat black coats. Custom made the scope rail and counter bracket and now have a swanky blaster to brag about Thanks for making me realise how awesome this blaster is Pics below - this is the full resin Droopy Doo kit: D-ring: I hope this hard work has paid off and I can join the ranks of the elite troopers... I know its not a requirement now but I do plan to add the cover strips in the future (need to get them from the USA and that takes weeks) as Mathias suggested. I hope this won't hold up things now though... Thanks for all your support guys and all the finer detail notes to allow me to better my armour. Over to you guys now..... Mat
  19. OK, no probs, will get onto that next. Been working on a new blaster all night tonight since getting your changes info. Its now 2am so off to bed for me (yawn!) thanks so much for all your help. I've seen the new threads on the E-11s now and have all the info I need now.
  20. Sorry Mathias, I totally missed this note about the blaster here.. I have pulled out my work in progress Droopy Doo full resin kit and will finish that to use that instead. Thanks for all your input. Mat
  21. Thanks guys! it sure does feel great to have that well deserved recognition EIB...............like a BOSS! Mat
