  1. If you're just wanting something to throw up on the shelf and display, maybe occasionally wearing it to show your friends than I see no problem with either the MR or eFX. I actually prefer the symmetrical, idealized look of them and think they feel much more like an actual helmet and not a cheap prop...

...but, they aren't easily moddable to be 501st approvable, and anyone who knows what they are looking at will likely call you out and thumb thier nose at you. Pick up one from any of the vetted makers listed in the thread posted by Minuteman if you are wanting a wearable, easily approvable, screen accurate Helmet.

It came with the Helmet. I bought it from ARAKYEL on the SpecOps Board. He sells the liner separately if you need. Here is the Thread :

How do you like it? I've got a rather large head and am just not having much luck coming up with padding that is comfortable and keeps it straight on my head.

After looking at that thread... I might just have to order a whole helmet from him as well. Thanks.

I was going to say, I put them low in the bottom area pointing up, similar to this, in my ATA, and, while it takes a teensie bit of work, I get it on with fairly easily...------------

What did you use for padding in that? It looks vaguely familiar but I just can't place it. I've tried everything from flight helmet liners to foam, to ACH padding and just haven't been able to find something I'm completely happy with.

  4. Looks like you need a crotch strap. ;)

And try to raise those drop boxes so that they are flush with the bottom of the belt. Tighten the straps between kidney and back as well.

But overall not that bad if this is your first time wearing it. The more you wear it the more you notice what can be improved upon, both in function and comfort.

My attachment method on the boxes needs to be improved anyway, so I'll make sure to move them up when I do it. They had just fallen off before I took the pictures and I stuck them back on a little hastily.

Shortening up the straps between the kidney and back should be a quick fix.

I'll make sure to get my crotch strap on.

    Thanks for the input. :jc_doublethumbup:

  5. This is the first time I've worn my complete armor. Let me have it and tell me anything I should fix before I submit to my GML.

I know my sniper plate tucked under the thigh(my photographer didn't know it wasn't supposed to do that), my right bicep rotated and you probably can't tell in the pictures but I forgot to put my neckseal on first so it might be sticking out in a few spots.

...and looking at the pictures I realized I forgot to strap up my crotch. That didn't sound right.

  6. Looking good, Nathan. Looking forward to getting a chance to meet you and take a look at your armor work. I'll have my stuff as well if there is anything you want to look at.

Looking forward to it. We don't have much planned this weekend so I'm up for anytime, anywhere, we can work around your schedule.

I'm getting real close. Worked on my Shoulder/Bicep/forearm strapping tonight, just need to cut and connect to at the top. Only major thing left is the belt and I just might start on it tomorrow.
