ROTJ is completely different helmet, its basically a reworked ANH so yes it has one side collapsed per original ANH.  My AP helmet is basically a sanitized ANH stunt version which many prefer including me, has all the same asymetries minus all the bumps and surface imperfections to better represent the high tech Star Wars universe when seen in person.

    Mark (AP)

Mark how does your shade of white compare to that of RS?  I ask because people always want to know color comparisons.

  2. Well depends on how accurate you want your armor to be. RS is one of the most screen accurate helmets available. But coming along with that are all of the imperfections of the screen used helmets. Plenty of bumps and dimples. Some love it because it’s acurate. Some people don’t like it because it’s accurate and they have a different view of the helmet.

The quality of RS is certainly one of the best available. So basically it comes down to personal preference and what you are going for.

  3. Hi Gavin and welcome to the FISD!  You have a bunch of helpful attaches that can steer your in the right direction.  You are very lucky.  Dan has given you good advice above.  I would recommend you research SDS a little more before you pull the trigger.  It is costs more then RS props and troopermaster and it does require modifications for approval.  RS and TM are top notch and pretty much approvable right out of the box if built correctly.  Good luck!

  4. Hi Josh and welcome to the FISD!  Thats great to hear that you already have met some of your garrison mates.  These are the people you will be spending most of your trooping time with.  They are a huge resource.  Here you will find a ton of information on everything about stormtroopers.  Use our members knowledge to help fuel your research and future build.  Ask us any questions you may have.  Have fun!

I do think it would be cool to maybe update the CRL photos, maybe once a year, as a way to recognize someone for their hard work on their armor, but not sure how we would go about that, or if the legion would even approve something like that

This is a nice idea in theory but could cause issues.  We have so much more information now on our costumes then we ever have.  I mean look at the ROTJ CRL and the potential changes there.  The CRL photos should barely be updated unless new information about the costume arises.  Remember they are the standard for approval and ideally there should be one set of high quality photos taken that really depict that costume and that is it.  Then all costume applications should be compared to that one high quality standard.

The FISD is already criticized for changing the CRLs too often by some.  Even though the CRLs that have been changed have been done so with careful oversight based on facts.  Adding unnecessary yearly changes would only add to that frustration and add fuel for the haters.
