Yeah I went with ATA. I e-mailed him in the first week of September and he said it would be about 6 weeks, so I might check in with him if I haven't heard from him by the beginning of next week or so.

Finally finished up the paint job, silver coats followed by lots of black coats: That is all! Hopefully I will hear about my armor in the next week or so. Can't wait!

I covered my blinky light with some plastic from a ziplock bag that I cut to pieces. I wanted to use plastic wrap but did not have any. Looking good so far! Also, I have heard it is good to sand all the plastic down a little to help with paint adhering to the surfaces. Good luck!

I am still considering adding the pin that Julie mentioned. My only concern is the difference between the front sight on the hasbro compared to a more accurate front sight. I think a more accurate front sight is something like this: I could bring the middle down like that and add the pin in the middle, plus maybe bondo to extend the sides. Opinions, thoughts, better reference photos? =D

I made some progress over the weekend and through today. I glued on the "folding stock," ammo clip and power cylinders, hollowed out the two spots for the new screw caps on the tip of the gun and sprayed a primer coat of paint. The "folding stock" and thing that goes on the bottom of the backside of the gun. Looks like I've got the ammo clip going on as well: Everything glued on and mostly dried: Screw cap addition: Everything glued on including new screw caps: And now for some paint in the middle of the garage: Tomorrow for silver coat and possibly a first coat of black.

In adding my "folding stock" and ammo clip today I've realized I made a mistake earlier on. The 2 T-racks on the barrel are slightly different in size and I put the longer one on the side where the ammo is supposed to slide in. It is currently in the way of gluing on the ammo. In addition to the 2 different sized T-racks it also looks that while the t-racks were drying my rubber bands pulled them backwards a little which brought the t-rack on the ammo side into the way. I will probably need to do some knife work on the T-rack to make room - it is probably less than a millimeter causing the problem. In the future I would make sure the longer t-rack is on the side where the ammo clip doesn't go. I'd also be more careful with rubberbanding things so they do not move while drying.

Thanks, Julie! I've been looking for a reference photo for that rivet pin in the front site, is it like this? I'm also looking at adding the allen screw heads. Trying to decide if the dremel will be the best way to take away the resin in those 2 spots.

Got around to adding some of the Doopydoo kit today. Also came up with a solution for the scope that I destroyed earlier. First, I had to fix part of the folding stock that broke in transit: Now for some of the stuff I glued and rubberbanded on today - first the scope: New gun tip and T-racks: D-ring and D-ring clip: My solution for the back of the scope that I destroyed early on in the process was taken from someone else in the forums. I used the plastic roll from a scotch tape dispenser. First I hollowed out the back of the site: Then I took the plastic dispenser roll and used the dremel to remove the inner ring. After sanding that down I cut a piece of cardboard that could fit inside and then cut the Doopydoo decal down so it would fit on the cardboard. The plan will be to paint everything on the gun with the plastic roll attached and then add the cardboard and decal after all the painting is done. My camera sucks (along with my camera skills) so please forgive the blurriness. This is just demonstrating how good of a fit the plastic roll is on the back of the scope. One last picture of the progress: Hoping to add the stock, power cylinders, magazine and that other thing this weekend sometime and then begin painting next week. Feedback appreciated!

What did you use for the cap on the back of the scope? I am thinking of using the plastic roll from a scotch tape dispenser - it seems to fit perfectly.

Sounds like a whole bunch got put out this week! Mine got in today. Unfortunately it is the only piece of armor I have at the moment! haha

I ended up doing something similar to what Travis described and I think my holes turned out okay. Getting ready to head to the hardware store for clamps, paint and glue!

Update: Holes have been drilled. I didn't make an exact science out of measuring them but I'm happy with how they turned out. They aren't perfect by any means but still look decent (in my opinion). Now I just need to get some clamps, rubber bands and E6000! Hardware store trip this afternoon.

While I wait for my armor, boots and gloves to get in I figured I'd get going on my E-11 blaster. I decided to go with the Hasbro mod and Doopydoo kit. First I halved the gun, pretty sure I botched the back of the scope so I'll be looking for a replacement piece for that. When i was digging through my family's stash of tools I found this thing. I don't know what it is, but it helped with clearing out the scope rail and taking the orange tip of the gun off. Scope Rail: The rest of this is mostly dremel work and that tool thing up above. Front site and orange tip: T-rack removal for new set of holes: Now I need to do a general sand down and smooth a few things out a little more. Since this is my first time building anything like this I'm a bit nervous about the hole drilling, so we'll see how that goes when I get there. Tips and advice are welcome and appreciated!

Eric, I've been searching around but not having much luck finding a particular detail for the hasbro mods. What measurements did you use for drilling the additional row of holes in the barrel? I've opened my hasbro up and split it in two but other than that haven't done much (Other than break the back of the scope when I wedged it off! haha) Thanks!
