  1. Okay - more work progressed over the weekend. Shoulder bells Arms (I needed to breakout the big guns for this!!) Biceps Finito! Thighs
  2. that final shot was taken at Two Minutes to Midnight!!!
  3. Cod – top Butt Butt – top & side I also needed ‘Mr Sharpy’ as the round barrel just wouldn’t produce the edge I needed. Kidney Finished And so the off-cuts build up – always good for running repairs!! Question: has anyone felt the need to reinforce any of the torso area with grp from Halfords?? I think I already know the answer to this but may as well ask it
  4. Back – bottom Back – sides Trimmed –
  5. Take a look folks....pure plastic porn! Onto trimming – and I’ve been advised on the following as a general rule of thumb regarding the reurn edges: minimal on bottoms of bicep’s and bell’s. 3-5mm tops of bicep’s, 5-8mm on the sides of the back and chest plate, sides and tops of the ab section, 6-10mm for the bottom edge of the back and chest plate, top of butt, top and bottom of kidney (depending on strapping method being used). 3-6mm for thigh tops (transition from thick and thin for better definition in certain areas). 5-8mm tops of shins/calves, no returns on bottoms. I’ll be leaning towards the greater end of these measurements. So far I’m not feeling (too) lazy so I’ll use the lexan scissors to do the main cutting And a dremmel to sand down..... Now from experience I’ve learnt 4 key rules to using a dremmel for sanding armour. 1. The first rule of sanding with a dremmel is don’t talk about sanding with a dremmel 2. High speed v. light touch 3. Wear gigs – no one like white napalm getting in their eyes 4. Cover your beer – it gets everywhere!!! Chest - bottom edge Chest – sides
  6. The start – last weekend Like I said the lid was pre-assembled however I wanted a more robust lens so I cut up the rest of a shade 5 welding visor – stuck a blob of milliput in the nose & screwed the visor in. I also didn’t want to use chin-straps so I did away with the old marijuana leaf padding and out in my own brand! Next came weapons: My E-11 that was donated to me free of charge form Rob aka Matt Black HUGE THANKS. If memory serves me correctly it was a studio creations that was modded slightly. I just added the T-bars and weathered some more. Next was my SE-14R from shawn....real nice kit. Again painted up and weathered.
  7. So back in August I contacted MR TM and ordered Full set of 2" armour with and extra 2" long calves with trimmed & assembled lid...... I just want to say that I nearly made a complete A*se of myself by PM’ing TM and complaining that the lid’s eyes where wonky!! Good job I took a closer look at my ref pics as he has got all these ‘quirks’ absolutely spot on, not just with the noggin cap either – he deserves the hero status that each builder/recipient give him! The wait was worth it ‘cos now I get to put it together!!! PLEASE PLEASE comment..even if it’s only to give me reassurance I’m on the right tracks!!!! I won’t be following the original assembly so purists LOOK AWAY NOW!!!!
  8. Cheers me dears! - groin flap: scrapped - bra hooks: purchased - ref pics: about to be prited off here at work...shhhhhhh - heat gun work: a bit worried heh heh
  9. So last July/August I made an enquiry about upgrading my TK, and to cut a long story short last week my brown box arrived from TM. Not really started it as I need to complete my Commander Cody (guns are boxed over the pond and ready to ship) as I want to give this my full attention. So I’m planning the build but have a few questions..... 1. Has anyone split the cod on a TM so it can be flipped up to help with WC visits? I was hoping to but it looks like there is a natural curve on a TM that seperates the ab from the cod which is putting me off 2. Back of the calves: originally I was going to use Velcro but after seeing ‘Joey’s’ pics of the suit TM made for him I’d prefer to have a crack using the bra hook thingies! The issue I have is when trooping, how fiddly are these to get on and off? Is there enough give in the elastic to get your foot through without having to hook & un-hook each time? 3. Return edges – these need to be taken off the wrist part of the forearms but are they kept everywhere else? If so what sort of size(s) - i'm thinking between 5-10mm? 4. Cover strips – are the sizes: 15mm for biceps & forearms; 23mm for the legs? Additionally should these be left square, have rounded corners or have the corners trimmed at 45 degrees? 5. Heat gun work – I hate heat gun work!! So the place I’ll defo need to use this would be on the battery pack...is it best to heat from the inside & concentrate on individual ‘give points’ or go for a nice clean curve (maybe lash it round a tin of paint or something?). Is there any other bit I need the heat gun for? I thank you genii (I had to look this up as I also thought it was geniuses) in advance
  10. Cheers Robert, yeh they are the anorak type (camping and sport) - no worries I have the setting tools but they're just a bit rhubarb!
  11. This would be great for those 'hard to reach' snappers! Do the work on the Prym 15mm camping bad boys?
  12. Ditto - exactly same thing happened to me the first time (ebay, fx, large thighs)....undo, cut to size & re-stick. Job's a goodun!!
  13. I came across a couple of MR E11s on eBay being sold for £1000!!! Has anyone had experience of them being actually sold at this crazy price? I'm thinking of cashing in
  14. Hi again Acima - I agree, just wondering if I was compromising. By the way, how do you make the abs filler?
  15. Did you not find that the humbrol satin white, although goes on ok dries slightly off-white?
  16. I agree - my visual on the forum is all different & basic. Most pics are not showing, my avatar has dissapeared - real wierd
  17. Do you have any pics to show how 'seamless' they are - preferably lid-off? How much are you thinking about charging?
  18. It's a small piccy thing but will these hair-bands do the job on the back of the shoulder bridges. If not what? I want them to be as low-key as possible.
  19. Did you get the cover strips with the armour or did you source them seperate?
  20. Seriousley? I'd love to give it a spin and if you have the rubber t-tracks that would be UNBELIEVEABLE!!!! I'll PM you
  21. And don't forget my bad boy! http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=15987&st=0&p=193466&hl=fx%20tk&fromsearch=1entry193466 PM sent re this
  22. G'day, I'm after climbing the TK ladder with regards to accuracy - the Expert Infantry or Centurian specs don't allow converted hasbros (which I currently have) nor will I use my MR ANH as it's too heavy....so what are the options? Also, different sources are claiming screen accuracy.....which ones are correct with or without: the counter, powers cylinders, coiled wires? Finally, what's the opinion on this bad boy? http://originalstormtrooper.com/shop-online/e11-blaster.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=11
  23. Does anyone know what TM does regarding the gloves? Does he supply the hand plate or the plate stuck to the glove?
