  1. Hi ppl, I am starting to assemble my AP shins.. and I am following Stukas flicker pics. The front area I'll cut using a 10mm trim and a 20mm cover strip. I have one question though, Do I cut the back part and use a cover strip also for that area?
  2. I think you can make these yourself.. no need to buy one. Just get an average measurement then cut some painters tape.. and voila. I made the Boba fett kill stripes on my ESB Fett, myself without a template.. I'm sure its no different.
  3. Hey peeps, Not much to show just did some rough trimming, just to get rid of the extra flashing. I decided to go for ANH this time around and go with a snap assembly, due to ppl saying the wire brackets wont work with a AP set. here is my trimmed parts so far.
  4. ummm, personally i wouldn't do it. try the cutting the return edge & adding foam. If that doesn't work for you then go ahead. I have a AP kit, and i have skinny wrists as well but if you take your time and fit it right it will work out. I had a FX kit back in the day but i made it work with little tweeks and I was a slim guy.
  5. You can also add foam to the interior to make it all snug. That will help!
  6. Ahhh! I see. Does anyone have pics of the movie troopers wearing mirrored parts?
  7. Thx Panda... I always assumed that AP and TE kits were identical. So I wonder why after all this time no one has stepped up to the plate and corrected this. it seems like a simple fix. I'm a fine arts graduate and I can sculpt... hmmmmm.
  8. Hi guys, I just started trimming pieces and noticed that shoulder, forearms, biceps are all the same for left & right.. it that how this set is? I haven't gotten to the other part yet.
  9. Hey RT, here is a pic of my kit san the helmet. EDIT* DOH! I see it now... I thought it was one bigger part that goes on the ab piece. thx guys... ,my bad
  10. Hey Gav, your on this site as well Doh! that reminds me.. I need to send you ppal for the borden.
  11. cool, maybe we can have someone make the parts.. then again I don't want to spent $ on something i could make myself.
  12. Hi guys so i finally started cutting some armor, Thx Ripcode for the lexan scissors tip.(and to whoever told him ) It looks the way it's suppose to look. But if I attach it to a canvas belt I can't seem to find anything in my kit to cover the rivets. Like we see in this pic I found on the net. Did Mark miss this piece or do I make it myself.
  13. Panda do you have a close up pic of your straps? a visual would help..
  14. Don't try to heat them... unless you like the disco look! From what I see the easiest thing you can do is to stitch the elastic part of your shoe in a way as to narrow the distance. Does that make sense? good luck.
  15. Hey Ripcode, Great to see you on these forums.. Where did you get those scissors?
  16. Birthday = TK- 921 sounds like TK-421 but now i think since i've been inactive I think someone had my # now...
  17. Awesome! I'm in the same boat as you, my set came in 2 1/2 weeks ago. though it'll be a slow build. I do have my helmet done (started...lol) and I plan to do it (armor) movie set accurate... metal brackets etc. anyways can't wait to see your build!!
  18. Hi Slacker, I was wondering how did you pop open up the handle of the whisk, *edit* I bought a sightly different whisk and also what is the height of the longer brackets? thx Arnold
