Ok thanks I saw another thing about the belt : in ROTJ, the back part is fixed in the middle of the front part. In TFU, it's fixed on the top. I think it's important, don't you ?
-
Well, the fact is that my canva is not really white and too wide (about as wide as the plastic front part). I think leather (or leather like material) is good as I can find white leather belts in a store in Paris ^^ More over it's exactly the same white as my armor and the thickness seems to be the good one. Adding the weathering will make it perfect. BUT ! I don't want to use a non canon material
-
I have another question : Is the belt made with leather ? or Canva ? I think leather is better but i'd like your opinion guys before buying some leather (it's a little bit expensive) Thanks !

How many incenerator troopers are actually out there?
stevechewbacca replied to Wiggleplum's topic in Incinerator Trooper
All is said Incinerator power !! -
No worries, I understand well But my point is to be as closely to the game as I can ^^" For example when I started my ICN, I get an ANH kit because of the chronology of the game and I desagreed with putting trims like on a ROTJ armor. But, the game has them so let's go XD

It looks like that yes, but the screen is taken in a low-angle shot and there is no armor between the legs. Well, it's probably for animation My armor is too thick to be deformed like that so that why I thought cut it to get the good shape as in the screenshot
-
Hi guys ! I just saw that difference between normal armor and TFU one : -------- I think it could be great to cut the armor like the one in the game to be more and more accurate. I think I'll cut it as in the game because the normal shape doesn't allow me to rely on a seat but the TFU shape would be great for it in addition to being accurate ^^ What you guys think ?

I think is a good idea. Making the pauldron from scratch could be hard but bring a better result than modifying the existing ones
-
Thanks so much Paul. Well, for my point, I think that the second shoulder bell is really absent in this armor. If we look at the ref pics, the pauldron is straight in the back so, if the shoulder bell were omitted for animation, the back part should be there as it's only skinning. I don't know if I explain well my thoughs ^^" sometimpes my english is not as good as I 'd like it is
-
Okay, thanks for this precision Paul. Well, I've got to get another shoulder bell for now as I cut the one I thought it was not required for some things ^^"
-
You mean 2 shoulder bells for centurion ? I'm really interested as I'd like to prepare my armor for EIB and centurion at the same time
-
Well, ok for rivets , I'll buy them this afternoon with the tool to put them xD For the shoulder, bell, it's not relly hard to get something right with the pauldron and the CRL ask to get just one (in should have things if I remember well)
-
Mason, I see some kind of buttons on the ab, back and the belt. How can we make this ? They don't seem to maintain anything (for ab and back). As I use velcro for the belt, I think I'll put some button heads.
-
Exactly ! The pauldron falls on the shoulder, replacing the shoulder bell
-
wow ! That will help a lot !! Well, it clearly shows that there are trims on all the parts, so no pics before adding the next ones... I'll order other trims this week end I think Do you think we have to separate the cod piece and the ab ? there is some black part between them... I still have the drop boxes in black but I think I'll light them viewing those pics. Well I've got a lot of work to do to make it really accurate

Ok thanks again Mason, I will buy it asap I'glad about what I made this week end so I'll take photos during the week (or next week end) to see if my armor is ok to EIB or not. Then, if it's not acceptable, I'll try to make the modifications with this new tool ^^ But I really hope that what I did and the weathering will be ok Anyway, I'll by this tool for my dremel, I'll need it for a lot of project Thx again, with all your help, the best is comming ! Well, hum... I tried to cut the right shoulder bell's edges when I received the kit just to see if I can do something with it as its not on the ICN armor. But, in spite of it is the less thick piece of my kit, it broke my dremel tool twice. Please do not think I have a lack of goodwill, I really want to get my EIB status so I'm looking for the best way to make it. And I only miss the trims but my armor isn't cooperative [EDIT] I just made a fitting test. It seems to be good in fact. It looks like battle damaged as I hope it will I'll paint a litte now and make some photos during the week. As I don't have enough trims for the chest bottom, I'll put a piece of pvc (my chest got an edge on the bottom as in the game pics) -

Thanks a lot for this video tutorial Mason ! The only problem is that I really can't do this with my own armor : it's shape doesn't allow it. I've got corners all along the edges and the rest of the edges is not flat as your own pieces :'( I wish I had the same kind of armor to put on the trims as you show on your video. -

Hi Mason ! Here a few pics of what it looks like after gluing the trims : I'd like to paint the little red parts but I think I'll wait a little ^^" Do you see that it can't fit the armor as yours ? -

Well, "good" news I tried again to put them on the back, it's not 100% clean but it's the best I can do. I watch the ref pics during at least 1 hour and it appears that there is no trims on the chest bottom and on the lower pieces (only on the codpiece). This will help me a lot regarding the shape of my German armor (MovieFx). I think I can anyway do something good with this armor But it will never be as clean as Mason's one (same time, I'm dirtier than him ) -

Hi guys ! I received my door trims this week and I tried to put it on my armor The fact is that when I ordered my armor, I chose an ANH version which is not modeled as the ROTJ one. I decided to order this version because TFU came just before ANH. But the armor doesn't allow me to put the trims... If I want to put them, I have to cut a lot the armor pieces. In fact the trims seems to not be able to fit the armor. Well, it's my fault, I didn't see the trims on the ref pics... I'll not make this mistake twice If one day I buy another armor, I'll take another version to put the trims and get my EIB status but I've got to wait before ^^" See ya guys ! PS : I reserved a SE-14R blaster for events where the flamethrower can't go XD I'll get it at the end of april -
Looks great !! I love the weathering
