  1. Well to answer your question? It can be a few things. First off is the time frame between coats. The can will usually tell you how long you should wait or not wait before adding another coat of paint. Many times I have gotten the same results from time frame. The other thing that can cause this is weather, and temperature. Need to make sure the moisture content is not to high, and that the temp is above 50 for best results usually. The last thing it can be is a little dirt/ oil/ or foreign substance which caused the problems to begin with, but now I think your problem is the first thing I told you. You dont want to know the best way to solve this. (removing all the paint) A second shot would be to get a good primer, resand and smooth the problem areas, and reprime it before paint. Before I done this though I would check with a professional auto body person first, like a paint store, and see what they recommend. They may tell you to use a different paint, primer combo which will not react with one another.
  2. PM sent, and yes I think we all understand, and no rush. Take your time, and have a Merry Christmas!! Jay
  3. HEY, Thought it had dissapeared huh. Nope, just had to get the way I wanted everything, and then Whalllah. Thanks for helping with this, I have gotten lots of compliments on my E-11. Jay As for the coin, I went there, and did just that....I got it!!
  4. 501st approved ANH stormtrooper.. Good to go. Just checked this morning and I have been approved. Jay
  5. Daetrin, Thanks for the info on this. I have sent the pics in and gotten approval from my GML, but am not sure why it hasnt shown up yet on the main site. Will check in to this today. As for the pic from stukatrooper, all I can say is WOWWWW!! That is very cool. I will print this one off and hang up. Well, once again I want to say thanks to everyone who helped with input of "doing it right", and I am always willing to help anyone else out that may need assistance in the future, ask anytime. Thanks again, and I will look forward to my elite status soon. Jay
  6. Hey, here are some more pics of the helmet, and the detonator, and biceps that were lowered. Mic tips are Stompers with speakers made in them.
  7. Thanks brothers, and yes Marcel my man, I am here!! I always knowed that I wanted to be here as well, but wanted things right before trying. Was on a long waiting list to get parts from TM, and took alot of time to get my AWSOME TE2 helmet and armor just the way I wanted it, but glad I waited. I think I have read every thread possible on this site to get the combination I wanted, and so have to thank everyone for there input in some way or another. I also forgot to personally thank firebladejedi for input as well, with the idea for the belt, and shoulder straps. Hey as for the biceps, and detonator. I have since lowered the biceps to close the gap a bit at the elbow, and the detonator, my wife put on when taking the pics. I have since mounted it better to the belt to lower it. As for the helmet, I will post up. I used the green industrial welding shield lens and cut them out, for the lenses. I even sent a few out, and have a few more sets if anyone needs them. Well thanks again, and cant wait to join the ranks of Elite status some day with the rest of you. Jay
  8. Just a few more pics. Jay
  9. Well, to start out, I would like to say thanks to all the help from members here. TE2, TM, Stomper, Smitty, and many others. I have spent that last year planning for this completion and here it is. Remember my first AP armor ended up being my TD armor, and then I went all out to complete this one. TE2 helmet and armor, except for the forearms, and biceps which are from TM. Blaster is a built unit with help from Smitty with the stock, and Stomper with the resin parts, and other items as well from others. Let me know what you all think. Jay ]

  12. Trying this now, was kind of hoping some one else over here in the states may have had the same problem and know how to fix it.
  13. Well, I am having major problems still. I have hooked everything up, and began testing. The problem is that there is NO static burst mode. Instead of static burst it says RomFX everytime you speak.. ??? I am totally stumped. Power checks correct, speakers sound fine. But unit does not work correctly. Help please. I have not idea what is going on. Jay
  14. Hey guys, Caboots has there boots on sale. I just recieved a pair for $60.00 direct. I purchased a pair 3 months ago and they were $80.00. The lady I spoke with said they had come down. Oh also dont trust the web site... It is not correct. It says they are not available, but if you call they have pletty of sizes. Jay
  15. Thanks, I was sure someone here would be able to help. I will let you know how it comes out. Jay
  16. Hey having a problem with wiring and output and need assistance. I have just recieved my Rom FX classic kit, and my Stompers Speaker Hovies. I wired them in series, but the sound is very faint, and scratchy to a point. Any one have ideas on hookup to get the most out of this combination?? I am using at this time the 9 volt battery sent with the classic kit, along with the microphone which seams to be not very sensitive. The RomFX is turned up all the way, but still very faint. I am not sure but I might have the positive and negatives hooked up backwards and I will try that first. Do I need more power? Parallel hookup? Any ideas will help
  17. Smitty, Hey your right, black butt??? I didnt know this either. Can some one shed light on this.. I have not seen this either and it would be interesting to know. Jay
  18. Terry I just did my shopping list last evening and Walmart auto is the place to go. They did have Bondo brand spot putty. Jay
  19. Ok, been a couple of weeks. Was hoping to have something to show.... but..... HAAAA, well nothing to show because I changed my mind after finishing. My armor is now taking on a TD sandtrooper.... Well not bad news because at the last minute my wife changed her mind and let me purchase a set of TE2 armor which is now on order and in waiting.. I the mean time I am working on weathering, and belts, E-11 and heavy blaster. Keeping my self busy waiting, tick tock, tick tock. Will keep you all up to date as progress begins.
  20. Hey does anyone have pics of the sizes of like the TE, TE2, and TM helmet in comparison to the AP? I have the AP but was wondering the fit of the others.
  21. Hey thanks for the info. Also thanks for the canvas belt plans, I made my own and it came out great. thanks again.
  22. I have almost finished my AP armor and am now wanting a TE or TE2 set What are the differences? Good, bad, indifferent... Changes in molds, plastic thicknesses and so on. Not wanting to cause any troubles, was just wondering for future benefit. What is HDPE compared to ABS and styrene? ... durability, care, and so on??
  23. Ok, here goes. I have been over and over, and am still working on my armor. I am attaching pics of what I have so far. I am actually complete but keep changing things to better fit. Let me know what you think I am still waiting on my holster, and parts for blaster but other than that all here.
  24. Ok guys and gals, I am almost complete. Used alot of leather, velcro, and snaps. Spent hours of research finding what I felt to be the best things you all have used and rolled them into one. It really is turning out well. Many thanks to all.. I do have one more question though. On the thighs, I cut out behind the knee to give some space to bend my leg. But how do I combat the thigh jabbing into my hip when sitting or bringing my leg toward my chest? Can I cut more of the top arch, or no.... I am 5'9" and am in the process of final fit. I will post all the pics I can on Monday upon completion. and explain my madness. I will be completing the canvas belt that jedi gave plans for this weekend and then only have left the blaster which I have ordered all the stuff for and the Romfx which is ordered and paid for and Stompers speaker hovies to complete. I have had so much fun, that I will probably do another... Make it maybe a sandtrooper... Never can tell... I have alot more friends interested around here now.
  25. Thanks Guys, will take these ideas into consideration. I will let you know what I come up with.
