  5. Like your thinking there David with having hole's in the blade where it sits inside of the tear bulb , my only concern would be that you could loose some of the light up the main blade , i shall test it out
  6. Very well documented and clean build you have done there , and as for those photos Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Also going to taper the top of the tear bulb in to the main blade so you dont see any ridge , so it looks all as one , plus i can play with the sound's have differant light saber sounds just need to reset the sd card
  8. Here is another vid ,to show the swooshing sound when moving it left to right ,yes Pete that is the letter M on the tear bulb and as Gary said M for McQuarrie and Empire made Will change the blue led for a white one to see the differance Pete , everything seem's to be falling in to place with this exciting project
  9. Thank you Karin , belive me this thing is loud i had to turn the volume down when recording , this is only a test just to get the feel with the blade lit up and the shimmering this has a blue luxeon 5 led very bright , i am going to test a white soul P4 Led that will be even brighter , really pleased with the tear bulb worked out a dream keep you all posted

  15. All that return edge must be digging in to you somthing bad:( , there is no need to have so much return only on certain parts ! And I agree room for improvement , on what ever status you are going for ,the FISD Armoures will sort you out Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Ok Nicole , what you can do is drop both ear's down by a couple of mm just make the screw holes slightly bigger in the lid which will drop the ears by a couple of mm , also i think you could lose ONLY a couple of mm around the round ear part, this will pull the curved part of the ear in towards the tube's , i dont think you should trimm any more of the curved parts of the ears just see what they are like when you have taken a couple of mm of the round parts , then you can try and get your desired curve around the tubes do a little at a time and test fit untill you are happy , But you do relize that the origianls were trimmed all over the place and far from neat
  17. I get mine from my local Hardware store under the house hold paint decorators section and it's safe as houses on the abs just need to make sure when you use it that the area is well ventalated strong fumes my make of thinner's that i use will be differant to what you have in the USA but go for your eqivelant of mine decorators paint thinners and it should say on the lable what it is suitable for
  18. Some Paint thinner's / white spirit
  19. The Ear's they are the bane of my life Nicole I think you can still retrieve them and maybe moving them down slightly and pencil the shape of the tube on to the ears please send some more clearer pics in so we can see ; ) , also it looks like you have your gaps on the theeth all joined with the grey, each tooth should be painted grey and not joined Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  20. No probs with the velcro method and if its easier for you to take them off and on go for it mate I would use industrial velcro for the tabs on the boots and the bottoms of the shins that will keep them in place might need to still glue the velcro tab to the boots because in time it will come off with with the more times you use ; ) I have seen many examples for this another being snaps/poppers to hold them in place it really depends what suits you Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
  21. If so have the elastic with hook at the bottom of the shins quite tight around the boots , this is what I did with my RS shins and it stopped them riding up over my boots Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
